Terrible Product - Medical Supplies

I am a professional veterinarian and use dental equipment in my practice. I bought this for my dogs to use at home. First, the product doesn't work. All claims are ridiculous. Although the results were noticeable, the product is too loud and frightens the dogs. Please don't buy this crap. Take your dog to the vet for a professional cleaning.

What Kind of Dog Makes You Grind Your Teeth?

What was I thinking? Now, how do I keep my dog's teeth clean, remove existing plaque, and do it myself without paying the vet $1,000 to do it? Okay, that all makes sense, but the problem is with the dog. My little 20# has none of it. Any dog bigger will rip your arm off. The humming, spinning, grinding, whining machine approaching my dog's mouth made him scared, scared and snapping. There is no polite way to get the job done other than exhausting yourself and putting tape over your mouth. Maybe

Great service good dental care

I used the buffing head on my poodle for the first time and it was easy to assemble and use on my 4 year old dog. But I didn't understand the heads screwed into the head of the handle. I thought they were popping and popping and when trying to remove the polishing head I pulled the rubber cap off the screw mount. They don't sell replacement parts, but the company completely replaced the whole set for me. Thank you for your great support and help with my dilemma! It's a great cleaning tool and…

Functional and fairly effective, but VERY NOISY

Different types of brushes really help to remove plaque. I wish I had had something like this when my dog was younger! Would definitely prevent some vet bills. Cons #1 is how noisy it is. The noise scares my dog, which makes it difficult for her to brush her teeth. She even gets a little nervous when I turn on my electric toothbrush! However, if you've trained your dog well and backed up the experience with treats etc, then I said go for it! If there is a quieter version of it - definitely get…

Read Before You Buy

Louder than the $5 battery-powered toothbrush I bought for my dog. Also, and most importantly, while using the device, my dog's fur around his mouth got stuck in the tip of the device. It was very tiring to comb out my dog's fur. Of course I turned off the device, then I had to unscrew the tip from the device and then I worked to get all his hair off the tip. Not good at all. And my dog got restless. The tips are in these very small plastic containers. Very easy to lose. However, you can't get…

Surprisingly good!

I have an older dog that has molars covered in brown stone. We used to take him to the vet every few years, but we don't want to risk anesthesia anymore - he's too old. I have tried toothbrush and pet toothpaste but the brush is not effective on hard tartar. I tried this product and it works very well! It's like using an electric toothbrush - you'll get much better results - the same goes for pet teeth. I used a quality charcoal toothpaste (pet toothpaste will do) with a brush head and it…

It can be a great tool

As with ANY pet product, many factors go into whether it is good for you and your situation. For me this is a great product. My GSP/Lab mix and lab showed some tartar buildup on a pair of upper molars. The vet said we might need a dentist next year. I figured I had a year to safely fix the problem myself, so I ordered this tool. My dogs are well trained and used to various manipulations (otherwise: I sharpen their claws with a Dremel). So it didn't take long for them to get used to the machine…
