Uncomfortable, poor seal, horrible design

Vortxx is also available here at Revain for the same price, it's a much better design if it weren't for the fact that they supply the wrong cap than advertised. Poor design1 - poor seal, does not hold pressure. 2 - no pressure relief valve 3 - no safety valve 4 - for an extra penny they could add quick couplers, it has makeshift pex pipe fittings that will kink the pipe. 5- Inconvenient to use, can accidentally spill when handling, especially when trying to open and relieve pressure. 6 - No…

Main problems with the adapter cover.

Purchased for use on a 2000 VW Passat. It came with a gasket that was too thick for the adapter cap. Few threads were visible and it didn't pull tight (see photo, subject said at least 3 full threads should be visible). Air leaks and it pops out when I tighten it tight. I contacted Motive, they sent me a thinner gasket. It still pops out if I overtighten. Once it's managed to seal, try not to make it too tight or loose. After that it was no longer possible to get a good print. I only had to…

Great product for any auto mechanic or DIY enthusiast

Looks like a great concept for bleeding or changing brake fluid. It fits my two Mercedes and BMW cars. As a seasoned auto mechanic with over 36 years of experience, I can't pay $950 for a B1 service at my local Mercedes dealership that includes an engine oil and filter change. Change brake fluid and cabin filter. Oh yes, you get free coffee and cookies, a bottle of cold water, and a "free" car wash. So I bought an engine oil drain and this little Revain brake pressure bleeder valve along with…

Disappointed with brake tool

Bought because it was supposed to be a faster and cleaner way to bleed the brakes with just one person, but what I got was a messy product. The first thing I noticed is the lack of swivels on the hoses so you get tangled trying to connect them to the brake fluid reservoir. Second thing I've noticed is that you have to pump this thing like a cocaine maniac to get it to build pressure and I say pump it vigorously for 2 or 3 minutes before you get 5lbs per square inch. The third thing I noticed…

Did the job exactly as stated.

Did the job exactly as advertised. The adapter cap fits perfectly on the expansion tank of my 2010 MINI Cooper Hardtop (R56). As soon as I tightened the lid tight enough, it stopped dripping. I pumped it up to 20psi, did the first round, which meant flushing out all the liquid currently in the tank. He lost about 5 pounds per square inch. Each of the remaining turns used 2-3psi, didn't really need to re-pump, but still had to to maintain speed. I used a clear fuel line from a local auto parts…

Good product for tools and equipment

I have just used this and the bleed bottle that came with it to change the brake fluid on my VW Tiguan. I've never done this before but found it easy and not that difficult. From the YouTube videos I've watched I understand you don't really need these things, but they do make it a lot easier and reduce the chance of something going wrong due to air getting into the master cylinder. Some points: 1) As stated in the comment above, there is no pivot between the cover and the pump. You need to have

Functional but one major flaw

No rotation between cap, tube and vial. In other words, when you unscrew/unscrew the cap of a car's brake fluid reservoir, the hose itself gets twisted. Breaking up the kinks is a chore as the bottle is quite large and heavy when filled with brake fluid. They had to have quick disconnects like the compressor air hose. This would be the ideal solution, but I suspect it will increase the cost of adding this feature. I doubt it will cost much though as I have checked air hose fittings at Harbor…

Chewed a plastic container on the 4th use, not closed, liquid overflowed.

As the name suggests I thought I was in heaven after using this thing 3 times. I bought this device together with a suitable case for my application. It worked wonderfully! I pumped all four corners in about 20 minutes. It was wonderful! On my fourth use, the seal in the reservoir wouldn't stay on causing the brake fluid to overflow no matter what I did. Again, I've used this system three times already with no problems, and on my fourth use I couldn't use it at all as it didn't seal the…

Clear purchase! Don't waste your money on Mitivak! Get Powerbleeder!

I really love this phone. This is by far the best and quickest way to bleed the brakes I've found. I have bought and used all types of pumps and this style is by far my favorite. I've tried the whole pedal pump method and let's be honest. It sucks. Not only that, but it's also a great way to kill the master cylinder! The bar in the MC is only used to go that far, but if you bleed the brakes it can easily go too far. Eventually this causes the internal seals to fail and you end up wondering why…
