Bought this pair of handrails for my 2017 Jeep Sahara JKU. They are way better than the grips that came with my jeep. My Jeep only had grab bars in the front, so I had to add an extra set for people in the back seat. Much stronger than these standard grips and they fit tighter too.

It looked like a good upgrade until the webbing that goes over the handle broke when I got into my raised jeep. Luckily, I caught myself before I fell and hit the ground. The fabric at the end of the handle was completely torn off. There is a dowel underneath which will likely weaken the material over time and rub against the edge at the end of the dowel.

I have a Jeep Wrangler and I'm a bit small. Aside from the handrails built into the car, I needed an extra pair (to attach them to the roll bar to give me a bit more stability when getting in and out of the car. They're not super industrial, but for my purposes they're pretty fit and secure mine only complaint was the smell.wow!i had to air them out (outdoors) for a few days before putting them in the car but they are fine now.

It's just fantastic. I know a lot of people choose metal handrails, but that's just not my thing. In my opinion they look very nice. They definitely don't pose a head-butt hazard like other handrails. I suppose they're pretty easy to install for most people, but it's not always intuitive for me. I spent about 25 minutes to fix everything. I definitely recommend removing the Freedom panels if you have a 2-door hardtop. In October '18 I bought some packs for my 2015 Wrangler JKU. They were easy to install and lay under Freedom Top 95% of the time. Hardly ever in the sun, hardly ever used. I like the idea of a grip pen, but I just don't use it very often. And then I hurt my knee and I've been using it for a few weeks. And today it broke. Because all my weight was on the injured knee. I didn't expect them to survive. They're about as cheap as you can get for roll bars. They only seem to cost $13. I've had similar ones before them, so I took a chance. At this point the velcro seems strong enough. After all, dry rot and weathering take their toll faster than high-quality pencils. The plastic handle is hard plastic, not soft or rubberized. Installs on the driver and passenger side of the roll bar. I thought everything was great until a month after the installation. I used the driver's side to sit on the seat from the lower mounting position and when I put some weight on it the seams tore. I had enough hips inside that I didn't fall out, but that could be an issue. I weigh 180 pounds, this shouldn't have happened.
