Love this movement

I used to use this style to hang very large mirrors. I once used a pair of 3 foot pieces to hang a 10ft long x 8ft high mirror (pic added). I used this little hanger to hang a quilt my wife had drawn. Because it's only a 12" hanger, you can't span multiple bars. So watch your strength when using wall mounts in drywall. Luckily I went on wood here and not drywall. But a 12 inch hanger with wall latches should hold most canvas style artwork just fine. Also, you don't have to mount it exactly in…

Works very well.: Hardware

The house I recently moved into has a beautiful antique bathroom mirror. The frame is all pine so I doubt it's of any value but it has a shamrock on the frame which looks quite elegant. Hanging a frame at eye level - like this one - on a picture wire is not ideal. The mirror will inevitably hang from the wall at least at a slight angle and will not reflect directly. The previous owner of the home solved this problem by screwing the mirror directly to the wall with large drywall screws. Argh…

Great support for a well made frame with useful extras

I love how it offers support on the long trail, not just at two points. It supports our heavy decorative mirror well. This works well with my heavy mirror due to the way the oval frame is constructed. I would like to point out that if the frame is not assembled well, if the frame is heavy and only supported from above, there may be problems with the actual separation of the frame. It has some extra features that are real pluses. First, Walldog screws are specially designed for hanging pictures.

Good hanger, best hardware

I wanted to use it to hang a large mirror, but it (the mirror) broke during transport, so I used it to hang the mirror I wanted to replace in the bathroom . The mirror itself weighs about 20 kg. but the previous mirror was not hung properly, moved a lot and almost fell off the wall several times. I saw this and thought what's wrong with trying this? I'm glad I got this, it fitted perfectly to the back of the mirror, screwed perfectly to the wall, and the handy dandy level was really helpful as…

Big . but I'm not sure

I am an artist and I buy a lot of French staples for my wall art. So I was excited to try this. I like (mostly). I say mainly because in many ways they are typical French boots. Robust, well made, light. My doubts relate to the fasteners. The scope of delivery includes so-called universal brackets for various wall brackets. Hm. I'm not sure. I know there are probably people with more knowledge than me, but I'm hesitant to use an all-purpose picture screw or other wall decoration that can weigh…

Used this to hang a full length mirror in about five minutes.

These simple French braces are strong and reliable. If you haven't used a french clip before, the principle is that you hang one piece permanently on the wall and the other on whatever you're hanging. You assemble them separately and then install them together. Gravity pushes them tightly against each other, and if you position them correctly, it will help keep the bottom edge of the frame/mirror/etc. against the wall to prevent wobbling. Wall mounting is easy. The small, detachable bubble…

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • boring packaging

I like this spike hanging hardware a lot more than the stock photo/pic /mirror hardware. It's very easy to hang everything straight if you know at least a little about home projects. The only reason I removed the sprocket is for the included brackets. These contained screws with a much larger thread pitch than usual and are meant to be general purpose screws for drywall, concrete and everything in between. They seem to be able to hold in concrete and wood but I don't think they will hold…

An easy way to hang a heavy picture.

French clip is a great way to hang a picture, mirror or other heavy items. The lower part is firmly attached to the wall, while the upper part is firmly attached to the picture and slipped over the wall part. If part of the wall is flat, the image will also be flat. No messing around with the wire sliding in the hanger clamp. If it's a really heavy item (think a large framed mirror) the top can separate from the sides and bottom, leaving the top of the frame securely against the wall and the…

5 star picture hanging solution

I would give 6 (or even 10 - why not!) stars if I could. This is most useful when hanging large, heavy paintings or wall hangings. I had a large solid wood sign that was given to me at a previous job. Behind it were two hooks in the shape of a triangle. I hate these things. Even with a picture hanging device, this is difficult to achieve (and IMPOSSIBLE without one). You ended up scratching the wall too. I had never heard of this product and didn't even know it existed. But it sounded good, so…
