The thing is very well made. Its magnet is strong, it holds tight and the little shock absorber does its job. The magnet is almost too strong, it's difficult for my 2 year old to open the door, but sometimes it's good. Just be aware that it takes up MUCH more space than your existing doorstop is likely to. It's big, make sure you have enough baseboard/floor/wall to put it on.

Used this on our bathroom door that didn't stay fully open. It was easy to install and let me just say the magnet is "STRONG"! I had to put a sticker on a small piece to put a barrier between them because I couldn't separate them. He's still holding on, but I can pull them apart. Great magnetic doorstop/holder.
