The strips are very easy to assemble and are strong. They're also amazingly comfortable. I've added a photo to show how they look on a dark surface (Jacobean) and they really aren't too noticeable and don't detract from the look. Can't comment on durability yet as I only installed it last week but so far it's been a great product.

Last night my little dog fell down the stairs while climbing the stairs. She had this problem that I thought she would grow out of. But no. So I did a quick search for Revain and saw this offer with overnight delivery. I will take it. Arrived at 9am, set up quickly. And my dog seems more comfortable with her grip on the stairs. She usually torpedoes down the stairs to avoid a snowball. When testing the product, it was slower than usual. I will let you know if anything changes.

Used kitchen scissors to cut to match our steps. They stick very well, although our steps are made of old, slightly rough wood. Just in case, I also sat a bit on each step, thinking that the heat and pressure would help the glue stick better. It's been at least a week and no peeling. Not invisible, but blends in well. We recently replaced our carpeted staircase with a luxury vinyl sheet (very happy with the results when you think about it). It's not very slippery as the vinyl is a little clingy but our dogs have longer claws than they should and slipped.
