Jagged edges can cut a baby's mouth. I tried to run my fingers through the plastic teethers around the blanket and they all had very sharp edges. This is not safe for the child. I really wanted a bite blanket but will keep looking for better ones. It's also quite small.

Our baby loves this little bite blanket, but the hard plastic corners hurt when baby gets excited and starts to wave it around. I was slapped in the face more than once, and he also accidentally slapped himself in the face with it. The corners are hard plastic, they don't bend like the silicone used on some other teething toys. we have.

UPDATE: 06/15/19 It still works despite throwing, hitting and pulling. Thought if it's safe for kids then it should be safe for dogs too. Today is February 14th, he's wearing a blanket and he likes the way it rustles. He mainly chews on the seams and the animal face in the middle, seeming to deliberately ignore the plastic. So far I haven't noticed any wear and tear despite the sharp puppy teeth.

My son loves it! His favorite noise is the one he makes and he loves to chew on plastic edges. My only "complaint" was that the cleaning instructions say "wipe with a damp cloth", I don't feel this cleans enough. It means don't swim in the water. ok i hand washed it in the sink, wringed it out as best as i could to get the water out and dried it on the gentle cycle and it held up great. I feel better washing it to get it clean than just wiping it down. Overall a great product!

This is a beautiful teether with the added benefit of lots of different textures for baby to feel. It's big and colourful, it even has a squeaker! My kid didn't like it that much but you should know what your kid needs. My little one loves the teething ring, which she can put in the side of her mouth and backwards. This is by far my 4 month old's favorite toy and my best purchase. I noticed that he found it easiest to hold onto his burp clothes and diapers, so he chewed them. But the scraps of cloth stayed in his mouth and I just wasn't thrilled with it. I wet the washcloth as suggested and froze it, but it was too small to hold in my hands. This toy is PERFECT, so easy to grab thanks to the chew loops on all four corners and loves to bite into it. I can also easily attach it to links to keep it in place.

It has so many textures and things to fiddle with with little pieces of tape, plastic teethers on each side and one part (1/4 of the blanket) is crumpled material that my baby is going nuts inside.
