Occidental Leather 5523 Clip Holder Review

Western quality and functionality. I use this for evaluating and selecting work on roofs. I have a Dixon keel holder, a 25ft Fatmax, a butterfly knife and a marker. This is my second clip for the one I bought, the first one was stolen when it was about 3 years old. It was still in excellent condition, which is one of the reasons it was stolen. Note that you stretch the tape bag, use hot water or rubbing alcohol and leave it on overnight. This is another typical western quality product.

I was concerned the 30ft Fatmax would not fit. It was tight but I did the warm water trick and now it fits perfectly. I wrapped my duct tape, screwdriver, and flashlight in 1/8" to 3/16" thick padding (painting tape and some folded paper) and placed plastic bags over them to keep them from getting wet. I cannot rate it highly enough. Don't be afraid of FatMax skeptics! Excellent quality, fully customizable, this mini case will do what I need when I don't need a full set of (even western) tool bags. Granted, while only standard gauge tape fits easily out of the box, leather can be custom made with minimal effort.
