I personally like them. They make it easier to hold the controller. Especially if you tend to accidentally flip your controller because you hit too hard or missed something. I always wear a wrist strap, even when I have it on, but at least it doesn't leave my hand, making it easy for me to wrap my arm around the controller instead of chasing the dangling controller for a moment. On a grip note, they protect my palms from sweat so I can keep playing.

I've been using this for a few weeks now and although installation was difficult at first due to the lack of instructions, I was able to install it understand and installing them on my Rift controllers S is fine. They are convenient and a great alternative to other solutions. They're reliable and my controllers haven't slipped out of my hand. Now I rely solely on them since I removed the wrist straps. I would recommend them to anyone considering a manual assembly solution on a budget.

I chose this for the Rift S because I didn't like the low feel of the controller and in intense games it will bounce back and forth unless you have a very firm grip. The straps are pretty flimsy, as one reviewer noted, but the entire lid material has no "grip" on the controller's plastic, causing the CV2 to slide easily into the lid, so I'll have to opt for sticking a self-adhesive Back decide elastic band or silicon sheet to keep it in place. Let's see if that helps.
