Works perfectly!

I use this tool on my lathe for grooving, but mainly for parting. Works perfectly. Will not bend or break like HSS cutting tools. But this one cannot go very deep.

Pros
  • Parts holder
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Works great, insert is tight!

Tool works great on my bench lathe. I needed something with an insert because I don't always have time to turn the edge on HSS. No chatter and the insert stays in place unlike others I've tried :)

Pros
  • Slotted Holder
Cons
  • Discontinued

Dangerous carbide tips. Nonsense, they fail, burst in the middle.

I've tried OScarbid tools before, but the quality sucks. I ordered 5 extra bits and the first 3 fell out within minutes when milling on the part at very low feed and 70rpm on a lathe with full coolant. The carbides just explode. The first didn't even cut, it squeaked like a cat in a cauldron. The insert failed completely and tore the tool holder. The next two simply split in half, down the middle as shown in the pictures. I completed, sharpened and centered the parting with HSS China Parting…

Pros
  • Insert holder
Cons
  • Very expensive
