Best multifunctional hiking backpack

Absolutely great product. It is very light and also compact. I can even use it on weekends. It holds enough clothes for a two-day stay and easily fits under an airplane seat. I love Osprey products!

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Very expensive

Plenty of space for a day pack and still a lightweight bag!

I love this bag! It's perfect for shorter frames. It offers so much space for a daypack! I was able to pack two 40 ounce water bottles, a change of clothes, a large lunch, gloves, all my survival gear and a full raincoat kit and still had room. This is an amazing bag for a pretty decent price.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • not as thick as others

Best Hiking Backpack!: Hiking Backpacks

Love this backpack! I've taken it on many adventures. I like how the hip belt fits perfectly. The back of the backpack is highly adjustable. It holds the perfect amount of stuff for a day trip! The two water bottle holders on the side of the backpack are used with every use. The mesh lining that doesn't touch the back is my favorite part. It hugs your back without giving off crazy warmth. This allows the air to escape, keeping you cool and allowing you to hike in very hot temperatures! I love…

Hydration Port IS Big Enuf!

Many have complained that the size of the hole that the hydrator hose goes through is too small. I have a camelback system and just removed the detachable mouthpiece before running the hose through the hole. It's easy enough to replace. The only caveat with this method is that you probably don't want to remove/replace the mouthpiece every time you want to fill or empty the water bladder, but the hose is very long so it's not very difficult to fill/replace with it. deflate the bladder from the…

  • Still happy

I wish it was a little bigger inside.

Edit: I bought a Sirrus 36 and it was TOO BIG! I also bought the Mira 32 and found it uncomfortable to stuff a lot of gear into the front pockets - this reduced the pack's weight and made my balance feel odd. I returned to the Sirrus 24 because I love this spring/summer/fall hiking bag so much and bought a couple of duffel bags to organize my gear. Wonderful backpack. Love the breathable back, side pockets and adjustable torso! The downside is that the inner bladder takes up half the volume of…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Great backpack for hiking

I bought an Osprey for a friend last year and I know it's a good product. I wanted one larger than the 16-18 liter Camelbak I've had for the past 11 years but smaller than my 50 liter Gregory backpack. I also wanted an integrated rain cover so after much research it seemed like the right backpack for me. First off, it's more of a burgundy than a true purple (I like both). Volume 24 liters. Perfect for longer day hikes or maybe even an overnight stay as long as you pack wise and don't need a…

  • Lots of positive emotions

I love Osprey backpacks

I love Osprey backpacks. This is a great backpack, love the pockets and rain cover. What really drew me in was the anti-gravity mesh panel that I found in my other Osprey pack. In the summer I traveled with a REI lightning backpack and my back was sweaty and the backpack stuck to my back the whole trip and it was annoying. So I wanted a backpack with the same mesh panel. I used this backpack for a summer hike in Zion. It was over 90 degrees outside and my back stayed cool. The waist belt holds…

  • Very good price

  • I have problems

It is worth noting a few design flaws.

Well made with all the trimmings. I bought it to use as a GHB (home bag) and found it would be too small for that purpose. Even with a sleeping bag and a mat underneath, there's not enough space for two days of basic gear. Good for a day trip; It fits lunch, water and a few items. UPDATE: I had a chance to test it out today and there are a few design flaws worth noting: I don't know who this bag was designed for, but it's not the average woman. I'm of average height and build (5ft 5in and…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
