    Sealed Hole in Garbage Chute

There was a hole in my garbage chute and water and food scraps leaked into my closet. Nightmare. I have no idea how this thing got punctured, but I wouldn't buy a new slide until I've tried to fix it. This is me! I bought this epoxy putty and the problem is solved. The hole is completely plugged - thank God! This saved me several hundred dollars.

    Water can beat most patchwork

Slowed but didn't stop the water drain from the meat grinder. Water always finds its way through the smallest cracks and channels. You can put 5 pounds of this stuff on anything you're renovating, but be aware it's temporary and expect some level of failure. To be honest, Putty can't think for himself. It will not automatically fix a leak just because you followed the "T" instructions. If it slows the leak to a trickle so your catch bucket doesn't fill up as quickly, you win.

    • Questionable purchase for the elderly

    Worked for several days.

This is the second review I am writing about this putty. At first I was excited because I bought this putty and applied it and it stopped the leak. The putty worked, but only for a couple of days, then the pipe joint leaked again. I even bought another putty and tried again but this time the leak didn't go away and I used up all the putty. It feels like I just wasted my money. I think I need to look for a new product that will plug this leak. For the price it was worth a try.

Fixed point leak in copper pipe

A few months ago we had a serious point leak in a copper pipe near the wall shelf and electrical box inside the wall behind the bathroom sink. We expected to have to open, cut and solder the wall under the sink. Instead, we turned off the water, dried, and then cleaned the pipe with sandpaper and vinegar. We cut off about 1/2 inch epoxy putty, mixed it for about a minute, then shaped it and pressed it against the pipe at the leak. About 2 hours later, when we were sure the epoxy patch had set…
