corporate level. Good range.

I've only implemented two of these but they replaced four previous access points in an old brick walled building and effectively cover 2500m². ft. Even in the furthest corners, a standard laptop with built-in WiFi gets 3 or 4 lanes. Reliable and easily customizable. We have 4 SSIDs and I'm sure they support more. Easily segment guest network traffic. Can be configured to restart regularly (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.). Works great with 60Mbps internet connection. The only downside is that the…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

I bought a Peplink Balance Router for SOHO deployment about a year ago and I really liked its stability Well. I've connected multiple Cisco APs that can't handle our current number of concurrent users, so I've updated them to include two Pepwave APs. After registering the access points with inControl, I was informed that both devices were out of warranty on February 9th, 2016. Not sure if peplink set the expiry time during the mfg or if the provider (globally) collects numbers. In any case…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Sad hardware

Not as good as it should be for the price

Not as good as it should be for the price. The manufacturer promises that firmware updates are lagging. Some issues with more than 5-10 simultaneous connections when using streaming or remote desktop. Open Mesh is better. The advertised web control of this link is not an entry control. Not very helpful due to the complex interface unless you manage 25+ of them, which I wouldn't wish on anyone.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Requires an outlet

A great inexpensive way to extend Wi-Fi with Peplink routers

If you have any Peplink devices, they're very easy to implement. When I first set it up it took me a few minutes to go through and understand the syntax, but after that it was easy. The only problem I had initially was that since I have a Balance One router, the firmware wasn't available. to download more that specifically support these hotspots. I got the right firmware from their support forum. Normally I would deduct a star for something like this but this product paired with their router…

It was easy to setup

. This wireless access point works very well. It was easy to set up and offers good range on both 5G and 2G. Two things to add to other reviews. Firstly, this device allows you to set what time the network should work and when not. So I was able to program mine to turn on every morning and turn off every night, which I like. I hate it when wi-fi works uselessly next to the kids sleeping place. Second, I hate login issues at first because my network placed this device at a different internet…

The range is so large that I could only buy one

I bought two for the office. The range is so good that I was only able to buy one. We've used $35 wireless hotspots in the past, and there were three of them to cover an entire 17,000-square-foot warehouse and 3,000-square-foot office space in a concrete hillside. I installed one of Peplinks and got excellent coverage throughout the warehouse and parking lot. I've never had a signal like this on the cheap hotspots we've used before. worth your money. Strong stable signal.

Pros
  • Beautiful
Cons
  • Without insurance

They work and are easy to manage

I'm not an IT professional and I don't work in IT. I have been using PepLink and WAP routers for over five years and they are very well made and well maintained. Flexible in configuration but simpler than Cisco's products, the company offers a web-based management tool that is also very powerful but accessible to non-IT users as well. Well, to be sure, you need to apply yourself and learn some concepts, but any gadget lover does it anyway. I use three of these to cover myself in a large house…

Melting Network Products

I have installed several of these products at various customer sites. they overheat and melt, depending on the situation, fires can occur. seems very dangerous to me. peplink should retire them all and replace them with good working versions for free. See my attached photos.

  • Great for me
Cons

Low wifi bandwidth

I am using a Peplink Balance One switch in a SOHO environment. I have two AP One Enterprise and one AP One mini that I use in a 2000 square meter site. ft. My provider has a speed of 400 MBit Spectrum cable. The best 802.11AC throughput I can get from 2.4GHz or 5GHz radios is around 90Mbps. As a test, I recently installed the wireless router (AP only) that comes with was delivered to my Spectrum which was sitting on a shelf. I was amazed to see stable WiFi throughput of over 300Mbps. So I have…
