English bulldog admitted!

Exactly what we were looking for! This step is a wider version of step II (Pet Gear Easy Step II Pet Steps, 2 steps/for cats and dogs up to 75lbs). We tried the original Level II first, and while my dog's weight was under the weight limit, we didn't think about width - and that's important for our bulldog, whose stance is much wider than the average 50-pound dog . This "extra wide" version is 6 inches wider and perfect! I also like that this step is easy to move but feels very strong. My dog is

Good quality, pretty stable for my 65# dog. ideal height.

Fairly easy to assemble. You may need a rubber mallet if you aren't strong enough to push the pieces into the correct holes. I have a 65# Weimaraner and it's pretty strong for her. I think she's nervous and slips a little because she tends to stick her nails out. I think it would be better if the entire top of the stairs was solid and maybe with thicker carpet. But I'm sure any normal dog that doesn't go mad can do it. She's learned to climb stairs if she's exercising with a treat, but won'tโ€ฆ

REMEMBER THE STAIRS FALL DOWN

Really wanted them to work as they are well made, easy to put together and come with very good instructions. I have an old chocolate labrador who can't get up on the bed anymore. because of his hips and that's why I bought them. Admittedly, he's quite stubborn and a little "big-boned," but he didn't want anything to do with that staircase. more "ramp" and easier to climb. When he wouldn't get up, I decided to do it myself a few times and try to get him to follow me. Not only did it not work (he

Nice stairs but not deep enough for my dog.

I bought this to help my beagle get up and out of our bed. Cats love it but my beagle doesn't use it. The sloping, wider steps make it easier for him to climb onto the bed, but he has a harder time getting out of bed because the sloping steps push him forward and he loses his balance. The steps aren't deep enough for him to use comfortably so I go to Lowe and they cut out what I need for my beagle boy and I paint it, screw it in, add padding and... . Walkway." The side wall might be, but I'llโ€ฆ

Definitely worth the money

My husband easily assembled them but he used a hammer to make the pins fit better. The steps are wider than we have seen and tried. Smaller steps didn't work for our 55-pound mixed pit bull. We have a high double bed which she finds difficult to get up on due to her arthritis. As we live on a ranch it takes constant practice to get her to climb the Pet Gear Easy Step II Extra Wide Pet Ladder as she rarely climbs stairs. I've learned to give her special treats when she lets me help her up theโ€ฆ

Slippery, sloping, makes it difficult for the dog to use.

I like the overall design but why are they purposely so difficult to use for a dog? I have an 85# dog and he uses this company's products but with difficulty. It's a subtle choice for these types of products. Why is carpet so slippery? I've seen this in other reviews but thought it was only problematic for lighter dogs but it's a slippery time, it might as well be made from a banana peel. And why did the ladder tip down, especially since it's slippery? But for those 2 things this would be a 5โ€ฆ

Light weight but quite stiff for an old dog

This product was very easy to put together, no tools required. I just asked my husband to push the last bit, which took some effort until everything snapped securely into place. The product is very light and easy to carry from bedroom to car. It helps our old 11.5 year old dog jump out of bed or the car by taking three steps instead of one big jump but it's still hard for him and pretty cool as you can see from the photos. This is a medium/large dog, 56 pounds. For some reason the steps aren'tโ€ฆ

This is amazing my 85 lb dog can climb in my bed now!

This is a life saver for me and my dog! My beloved boy had his right hind leg amputated because he broke it and when I took him to the OSU vet it was found that he had cancer (vascular cancer) that had metastasized to the hind leg bones making recovery impossible , so the amputation was just fixed. I am thankful that he has lasted this long, 8 months, and is still my "Sunshine Boy". I love having him in bed with me and so far I've been able to "lift" him onto my bed with a sling under his assโ€ฆ
