Absolutely perfect for pugs! Small enough to reach the back teeth in a tiny pug's mouth; something I couldn't do with finger brushes or other pet toothbrushes.

I use these on my cats and although it is obviously difficult to clean cat teeth they seem to help. If you've never brushed your cat's teeth before, don't expect to brush your teeth completely on the first, second, or even third try. They'll take longer than you to get used to the concept, but they'll adapt over time as you improve your technique.

I have 4 cats and 1 little puppy. One of the kittens has grown to "half a pint" so she has a smaller face than my other three big boys. there. The bristle part is small and fits my pup perfectly. If the bristles were a little smaller I would buy them in a heartbeat. I had a little trouble getting at my kittens' back molars.

I bought a set of small toothbrushes for my cats. They are too hard to use in the animal's mouth. I am an LVT and my husband is a DVM. We both agree that the bristles are too hard. I used one on one of my cats before testing it for stiffness. I feel terrible. He was clearly uncomfortable and his gums were bleeding because of it. I recommend purchasing the kit from your veterinarian as an educational product. These brushes are terrible.

The brush head is small and thin but the bristles are too long for my cat who has a very small mouth and finds it difficult to slide over the brush. Brush into her cheeks to get molars. I just trimmed a few millimeters of stubble with scissors and now it fits perfectly! I have had other short bristle brushes but the plastic head was too big or too thick. At least at H&H, you can trim the bristles to fit even the smallest of mouths or snouts!

The length of the brush handles makes it easy to reach the back of my dog's mouth. I like the wider bristle head which tapers towards the front which allows for more toothpaste to be applied and more enamel to be covered. A large bristle head on one end and a smaller bristle head on the opposite end of the handle also comes in handy for easier cleaning of the fangs. I was looking for a just the right size toothbrush for my small dog that didn't have a large toothbrush head on the other end to get in my way when using it - and make it awkward to store (these things are so long and uncomfortable!).
