    HUB overheating due to SD card

    I use a 64GB Transcend SD card as handy external storage for my 2016 15" MacBook Pro. I leave the SD card constantly connected to the hub so I can write or read SD card only once a month. I always leave the hub plugged into one of the USB-C ports, but I don't use the hub to power my MacBook. I recently noticed that the hub felt very hot and wasn't sure what was causing the issue as nothing was connected to the hub other than the SD card that was inserted.     Works USB hubs for computers and accessories

    I got this to use with an Apple Mac Mini I bought a few years ago which has almost no ports on the back other than USB-C would have. I have now connected multiple USB-A devices and an HDMI monitor through this device. They work fine. My only complaint is that they spell "pluggable" with a single "g". 😁

    Everything works as expected and I had no problems. High-quality materials.

    The product is really well made. It is durable and the materials are of good quality. I've had it for a few months now and it works fine. Everything works as expected and I had no problems. Transfer speeds between USB devices are fast, latency is low, device performance is fast, and the 4k HDMI output works flawlessly. I used this device as a mini dock after buying a new computer that only has USB-C ports. I've also dropped it a few times and it had no scratches or issues.

    Works with hard drives and HDMI but slows down when connecting keyboard and mouse

    The name says it all. It is ideal for connecting hard drives and monitors. However, when I connect a Logitech Unifying receiver for my keyboard and mouse, the response is very late, to the point where I can't use either the mouse or keyboard. This receiver works great with other USBC hubs.

    HDMI didn't work with computer accessories and peripherals

    My particular model got very hot and had intermittent issues with the HDMI port, causing my monitor to cycle on and off. The laptop and monitor I use have no issues with other devices.

    Good USB-C laptop hub

    Nice device, I've tried others that didn't power the laptop but this worked as intended. There are no problems with the device, but one important element is missing - an Ethernet port. My mistake, I bought this based on good reviews but didn't notice the missing ethernet port. Otherwise it's solid - gives it only 4 stars as it should come with Ethernet.

    Intermittent HDMI disconnects

    It gets hot when you use it to send power to your device. I keep getting HDMI disconnects. It is what it is. I think a more expensive device would be a better choice. Being a fairly simple device and having simple plans for it with simple expectations. I thought the average price was enough.

    This item is amazing - no more reason to own a computer with it. The instructions provided are a bit sparse, but I wrote them down and asked for help (only needed because I'm so helpless with the technology) and received a brief reply in less than a day. 5 Stars

    It's fast! - Computer accessories and peripherals

    The cable is too short for my iMac. One of them connected to a laptop will probably work just fine. The two on the back of my iMac are way too cluttered. Works well, just not very accurate. The likely frequency and signal can determine the length.

    Hub overheating with SD card

    I use a Transcend 64GB SD card as convenient external storage for my MacBook Pro 15" 2016. I keep the SD card constantly connected to the hub because I only write to and read from the SD card about once a month.I keep the hub plugged into one of the USB-C ports all the time, but I don't use the hub to powering my macbook very hot to the touch and wasn't sure what was causing the problem as nothing other than the inserted sd card was plugged into the hub, I removed the sd card and the hub cooled
