Waterproof, takes decent pictures, only for sub-compact cameras

For rare underwater photographers this bag is very good. Pros: Works, camera stayed dry. It comes with foam pads that you can reposition to keep your camera from rattling in your case and your camera to securely press against the flexible backing for easier access to the buttons. It has a strap hole although it is not included. Cons: I have flare/distortion around the edges of many of my photos. The photographs are still usable and will keep the memory of my trip alive; Oh, they look better…

Has kept camera dry underwater

Used this bag for underwater shooting with my Canon Powershot ELPH 300HS camera. Worked fine with no leaks. I tested it according to the instructions before using it with the camera. Once I was sure it wasn't leaking, I put the camera in and quickly dunked it in water to check for leaks; no leaks. While snorkeling, I dived 10-15 feet with no leaks. The body is made of semi-rigid plastic. You have to control the on/off and shutter by pushing the soft plastic into the control. It wasn't difficult

Better than expected from Canon Powershot SD1100

Planning a trip to a water park in Texas and didn't want to spend money on a waterproof camera and didn't have time to explore. I bought this more as an experiment. It worked fantastically. The included "spacers" fit my camera perfectly and I expect most similar sized cameras [especially the Canon Powershot] will also fit. Neither my wife nor I had any trouble turning the camera on/off with my fingernail through the case. I was also able to practice and learn how to switch from image to video…

I was very happy with the quality and ease of use.

This camera case worked great. I used the body with my Canon PowerShot ELPH 300 HS. First I checked it blank. I then plugged my camera in and made sure the little strap on my camera was stowed securely so it wouldn't snag on the body and get in the way of the lens. Following the instructions, I made sure the camera was positioned so that the camera lens wasn't blocked when it was powered on. I used small pieces of foam under the bottom of my camera that pressed the top of the camera against the

GREAT value for money - used with Cannon Powershot

I was skeptical about buying this product based on the reviews in the middle. People either loved it or thought it was a piece of junk. I was expecting $20 if I use it and it doesn't work I'll just send it back. The housing is easy to assemble, snaps firmly into place and comes with specific leak test instructions. They even offer you extra foam wedges to wrap around the camera to keep it as close to the body as possible. I used this case (and foam bumpers) for my powerful cannon shot and I…

OK, not great. in Camera & Photo

It is fully waterproof as advertised. My Canon Powershot SD750 ELPH fits exactly into the foam inserts. As iPhone cameras have improved, I've found that my little Canon has been getting less and less use over the past few years. It's a shame as it's such a good camera. I was hoping this corps would get the little guy back on the rotation. Unfortunately, several issues make using this housing with my camera annoying at best and impossible at worst. My complaints: 1) Access to the controls…

Very impressed with this little case!

Polaroid universal waterproof case really impressed me! I bought it for a Cozumel cruise a few months ago. Last year I used disposable cameras but wanted to go digital. After a long search for a suitable camera, I decided on this one because I could live without a camera if it failed. The boy was surprised by the build quality of the case. Loading is easy, operating the camera (buttons only) is not difficult in the case. I wish the review would allow me to upload some photos taken with the…

Did a good job with underwater photography

A little awkward to open and close but works as it should. There are no instructions on how to open the case. Switch tabs to open and just slide them apart. He's a little stubborn, so just be persistent, rock him a little. As other reviewers have noted, you may not be able to access all features depending on the camera. Most cameras require you to select certain settings before proceeding with them. So keep that in mind. The back of the camera can be mounted flush with the back of the housing…

Great value cases

I actually ruined my camera with this thing. and I STILL give 4 stars. Smart Tip: Remove the strap from your camera before using this bag. I have used this piece every day in Hawaii and have been very happy with the results. I was too lazy to get the camera in and out of the bag and one day the strap got caught in the seam and I didn't notice. Since it worked fine for a few days, I also became too casual to check before soaking. Damn - a small leak and about 5 minutes later. the camera is dead.

Pros
  • High test scores for grip and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
