No more flickering Good for a projector Accessory

A few weeks ago my projector started to flicker. After some research I found that it could be a bad color wheel. I have ordered this item. I watched a YouTube video of "FixItFrank" on how to replace it and now I'm back in business. I uploaded a picture of my old color wheel and how dirty it is. If you research and take your time.

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Percent replacement for my Optoma HD141X projector

After trying two different bulbs and a different color wheel I finally found a suitable replacement for my projector. I thought it would be difficult to change, but my son and I had no problems. Very easy! Turned off the old one and I extended the life of my projector. The previous color wheel had 4614 hours.

Perfect solution for my Optoma GT1080

Thought I would have to buy a new projector because the faces were blotchy and everything red looked pixelated. I bought a new lightbulb and it doesn't work. Thought I'd give it a try on my Optoma GT1080. So far the picture looks as if I had bought a new projector. That was a big relief, especially before the bowl games started. The installation didn't go bad. I was watching a YouTube video of a similar Optoma projector.

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • No insurance

Perfect replacement

It was the perfect replacement for my Optoma HD141X color wheel. I had weird color flickering/strobing and sometimes the image was cut off completely. First I tried changing the lamp but that didn't work so the color wheel was next. As you can see in the photo, the old wheel was broken. It took about 30 minutes to open the projector, remove the shroud and take out the old wheel, put in the new wheel and put everything back together. Highly recommended!

Fast connection and playability.

I've been using it for about 2 months, everything is fine. There was an issue where the projector would make all sorts of noises and never turn on. I thought of a lightbulb. It turned out that the indicator mark on the color wheel had somehow come off and the projector couldn't tell if the color wheel was spinning or not. In short, this new color wheel was a really fast plug and play option and the projector has never been better. I can't get enough of the color rendering of the steering wheel.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • I have doubts

Perfect replacement

This is the second color wheel replacement I've had to do on my Optoma HD141X which is a bit disappointing but at least practice makes perfect. This time I was only able to diagnose the problem based on the noise and the immediate effect it had on the image just before the projector turned off. This has enabled me to get an order for this very affordable replacement for next day delivery without ever having to remove the projector from the ceiling mount. We were back up and running in less than

Installed in Optoma HD142X

YES! This works with the Optoma HD142x projector. Before I bought this I couldn't get a clear yes or no. My lamp went out after almost 2 years of use. Shortly after replacing the lamp, the projector started malfunctioning again, as if the lightbulb had burned out. The lamp failure indicator on the projector also came on. I almost bought another bulb, but after further troubleshooting it turned out that the colored wheels are prone to failure. This bike was a bit dirty when I received it. I have

Works well - office electronics

My projector boomed so loud we could hear it even though it was top mounted. When we turned it on and watched movies, it made a "tinny buzz". The image often had a pink tint. We first replaced the lamp before realizing it was a color wheel. I put off buying it for a year or two thinking it was "not that bad". After changing the color wheel, we noticed that the colors on our projector (Optoma HD26) are significantly better. The pink tint was gone and we could see differences in darker scenes…

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Loudness
