What is that? about oils and liquids

How does Rain-X work? I do not know. Is it PTFE? is it wax is it silicone I do not care. It works out. And if like me you're on a budget, you'll use this. Reduces wear on wiper blades. Just ride fast enough in the rain and the water will pool right away. Makes sense right? It's raining. Drive faster. Save wipers. Collision Repair won't kill you. The collision will kill you.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Not bad

Better than a spray bottle

Much easier than trying to spray a window. The directions say 4 ounces per gallon of washer fluid, but I found I needed more. Might drop to 4 ounces with future refills, but we'll see. Works perfectly! I used it on a 2010 Subaru Forester and when driving down the freeway in moderate rain I didn't have to use the front wipers at all. The freeway speed was enough to keep the windshield clear.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Unreliable

As good as the original, less work

I usually use the original RainX, but I wanted to try it. There is a gauge on the side of the bottle so you can see how much you poured into the tank. So it's easy not to bet too much or two less. After only a few targeted waterings of the pane (3-4 seconds of spraying) over two days, the next rain dripped off the pane as if I had applied the original RainX. I'll probably switch to that from now on. no more sore elbows from rubbing the original RainX.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Bad experience

I will buy again. And again.

I can't easily find Rain-X washer fluid where I live, so when I found out about this supplement I jumped on it. I got a quart water jug from the grocery store and refilled it when I needed to refill washer fluid. Has a good level gauge on the side although it could be easier to read. This additive gives really good water repellency and improves my visibility on the highway in rainy weather. In addition, it has become much easier to remove error markers. Overall I am very satisfied and will buy…

Pros
  • Good performance

RAIN-X WASH ADDITIVE KEEPS WORKING

I have been using the Rain-X range for a long time. I used to apply it by hand and the results were amazing. This actually makes the surface of the windshield slippery, allowing the rain to magically slide across the glass surface just by the force of the wind. A friend told me about this Rain-X washer fluid additive that you put in a washer fluid bottle and every time you use the sprayers, the Rain-X solution sprays onto the windshield, saving me the trouble of manually applying it. What will…

Pros
  • Still satisfied

  • No instructions

Cheaper in the long run

I just love this stuff because when added to cheap windshield washer fluid (winter or regular) it effectively complements the regular Rain-X work we do on our windshields a few times a year. Beetles separate more easily, raindrops roll off more cleanly. I've never noticed an improvement over this combination when we've added Rain-X brand *Wiper Blades* or bought expensive *Rain-X Washer Fluid*. So we dropped other Rain-X products and just added this additive to our liquid and treated the glass…

  • Absolutely amazing!

It missed the mark guys!

I've been using Rain X since the 80's and have always been happy with the results. I recently bought a RAM 1500 and after 2 back surgeries found it was impossible to apply a regular product to the windshield. When I saw that, I was thrilled! I mixed it with washer fluid as recommended, but I didn't see any raindrops as I'm used to. In fact the only thing I noticed was an oily sheen (which all Rain X users are used to) but it usually comes with a sheen *magic* of the product but unfortunately NO

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Fits

It works, but direct application works better.

I love Rainx, I don't see how anyone can ride without one. I can be a bit lazy and don't always have time to give my windshield a thorough wash and then apply Rainx directly the old fashioned way, so I gave it a try. After waiting two full weeks for decent rain after using it in my windshield wiper fluid, I have to say I've noticed a difference. It works out. However, it is clear that it does not work as well as a traditional application. I started this without using Reynx for almost a year. So

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Nothing here
