Complete kit but cheap valve

Complete fitment kit, make sure you get the right kit for your truck. I also used a grommet to protect the fuel line as it ran through the bed. The only problem is that the valve is very cheap.

Pros
  • Easy to read panel
Cons
  • Not sure

Nice set with all stainless steel and brass fittings.

I don't know where the bad reviews are coming from but it must be another clone of what I bought. The kit I bought was of high quality. I saw a cheaper fake from China. Be careful.

Works well no leaks on 2017 Ram 2500

It fit well and served its purpose. I have used aircraft thread sealant in the hoses and fittings with no leaks. It was difficult to get the fitting back into place after cutting the filler neck, but by pushing the hoses all the way back I was able to do it. I can leave the valve open all the time without it overflowing.

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • unreliable

Works great on a 2017 Ram 2500

Worst part was cutting the filler neck but ended up working great on a 2017 Ram 2500. all. It is gravity fed from a 60 gallon tank in the back of a truck. There has been some concern on the forums about the "flap" leaking in the uncapped filler neck, but I've had no problems. Works like a champ.

  • Perfect for outdoor activities

Hose clamps are inferior

My husband installed this kit with his new 90 gallon RDS overflow tank and had nothing good to say about the clamps. He owns a heavy equipment repair shop and looked at the clamps that came with them and rejected them. He explained that the hoses are thick and the clamps can't hold the hoses tight enough on the adapter before they break. He has opted for durable hose clamps and is very happy with them. He also explained that the kit should use tubing that is the same gauge as the inflation…

2018 Ram 3500 - a bit pricey but overall worth it

I received this for my 2018 Ram 3500, the packaging was damaged and taped together but the contents were intact, took about an hour to install, I took my time as I took my time. I used an existing hose on a truck fuel tank so I only had to make one cut, I used a handsaw to cut the fuel supply tube. The hose clamps supplied are quite large but work, I wish a bed grommet was included, I had one so it wasn't a big deal but for the price you would think the kit would be one. All in all it was a…

Good To Go - Fuel Tanks and Accessories

This is a real RDS kit. Note that other kits are sold on Revain that use the RDS part number in the description, but these kits are not made by RDS. I installed this twice on a 2016 ram. Note: You'll also need a way to seal the connectors, don't use white teflon tape. Diesel or gasoline will seep through the Teflon and your fittings will leak. I used Permatex 80632 Thread Sealant with PTFE to seal the threads and after 2 weeks all the fittings were dry. After installation, I drove to the gas…

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Garbage RDS Best in Spare Parts

The quality that comes out of an RDS is absolute garbage. The adapter is rough and full of metal burrs that need to be sanded/trimmed before I even attempt to install it in my fuel lines. The inside of the adapter was also full of metal shavings that would have ended up in my fuel system if I hadn't been looking. In addition, with slight pressure, the fitting for connecting the hose broke off. Luckily the local shop had parts to replace the valve and fitting. Stay away from RDS as they don't…

Pain in A$$ - Fuel Tanks

Well, you snake! On my 2016 Ram 3500 Long Bed this kit is a nuisance. There isn't much room to cut the fuel filler neck to fit an aluminum spigot with an elbow joint. I played hell with this role. The rubber hose and clamps for the aluminum bushing and filler neck were slightly oversized, they should fit snugly around the neck and bushing. On the other hand, the metric transfer tubing was about 3 sizes too small. So I went out and bought a 3 foot 5/16" fuel line from AutoZone. Also, it takes a…
