IC is difficult to solder.

The chip is a tiny SMD. Correct soldering is very difficult. I had to buy another one which cost the same as the whole set. If you don't have any SMD soldering experience, this may seem difficult. All other components were installed in less than 15 minutes.

Pros
  • Personal radio stations
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Works as expected but $7 is expensive

Good for experimenting with soldering and fun for beginners. Bought three of these - on the first one I overheated the IC as my solder was at 450. The second worked. Good components but I feel $7 is a bit expensive for this. The manufacturer should try to make it cheaper.

Pros
  • Radios
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Wonderful kit for the price. Excellent support. Highly recommended

Great set. I had a problem but after checking the power supply on the board I read zero volts and found that the battery holder was not connected between the batteries. Shaking is necessary when inserting the battery. Otherwise worked on the first build. I contacted support and got a quick response. They were willing to replace any part needed. Very convincing for the price. Highly recommended.
