Does a great job for camera and photo

Bought for my son to block out wind noise on the ski slope. Did a good job. The family could be heard talking to each other, but there was no wind. Happy with this product.

Pros
  • I look forward to
Cons
  • Dear

Works exactly as I had hoped!

I bought this because the wind drowned out my mic and all other sounds including my exhaust while riding my Harley. After putting this on my GoPro I can hear everything. Enough wind noise to understand you're moving. Passing cars, barking dogs and most other noises are still clearly audible. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. There is nothing bad.

Pros
  • Durable Test Results
Cons
  • Repair

Blocks out wind noise!

Works great! Don't worry about buying a Hero 8 Black mod if you don't need a 3.5mm headphone jack for an external microphone. This foam completely covers all microphones on the camera and blocks out wind noise very well. I installed it in the front of my car and at about 65mph the wind noise becomes sudden but I can still clearly hear the turbocharger and exhaust valve working.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • There are flaws

For the price it works more than well.

Wrapping your GoPro in this material will certainly help reduce wind noise, but only to a point. And the construction seems strong enough to withstand many donning and doffing cycles. For the price, however, it couldn't be better as a simple solution for using the GoPro in higher speed situations (in my case over 80km/h you'll still be drowned out by wind noise, but so will my own ears).

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Clarity

Simple Pleasures MTB on YouTube

Want to see this windfighter in action? Simple Pleasures MTB on YouTube. It just works. The price is right, the density of the foam is high quality, it fits well and is tear-resistant. I'm using this footage on a GoPro Hero 8. It's mostly mountain bike footage and there is little to no wind noise. As you can see from the photo, the foam is of good quality. I tried a few others on Revain but ended up passing them on to friends who needed them. This is by far the best for the price I could find…

Pros
  • Useful for more than intended purpose
Cons
  • Problems happen

Cutouts on Hero 8 are in the wrong place

Although this cover physically fits the Hero 8, the cutouts for the power and record buttons are in the wrong place. The power button is on the right side of the Hero 8 (facing the front lens) and the power button notch in this cover is on the left side, the record button on top is also on the wrong side. I tried turning the cover inside out and trying every way I could to make sure I not only put it on the wrong way, but also cropped it the wrong way. Might work for some but will be really…

Pros
  • New to my collection

  • Hard to say

This product does not match the advertised

I found this product to be a good option to eliminate wind noise on my GoPro 8. And it really does it by reducing wind noise when recording. But he also advertised how durable and tear-resistant it was. Not the case at all. It is made of thin foam that breaks easily. Because you must remove, or at least remove, the foam cover from your GoPro in order to connect it to charge or replace batteries, the foam will tear after a few distances. Worth trying for the price. It still works even if it's…

  • 📷 MULTIPLE USES: If you have this windshield cover, you do not need an additional microphone. Also, it protects your camera from scratches, fingerprints, dirt and bumps.
Cons
  • Too long to wait
