The picture on this product looked like what I needed

I have a Whirlpool 40T9-40NG 400 water heater that I bought from Lowes. The indicator did not flash at all and the pilot lamp did not burn. The image on this product looked exactly how I wanted it. Luckily it was accurate. I turned it on after 20 minutes and the water heater started working immediately.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • The packaging is ugly

Good customer care.

The first one didn't work properly, I kept getting P0420, cat redone, checked for leaks, pipes redone, no change. I contacted the seller and he offered a refund. I asked if I could just get a replacement unit. The supplier sent me a replacement, I installed it and the p0420 error was gone. Has been working flawlessly for 5 months.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Proper installation in Bury

The water heater regularly shut off about once a week for up to ten days. The pilot worked, but will not burn for a long time. The real problem was the thermopile. The information I read at Revain said this pilot and thermopile combo was spot on for my N50T61-403 50 gallon gas water heater, and it was. If you have mechanical skills, replacement/installation is not difficult.

Pros
  • Quality of build
Cons
  • A few minor things

water heater model SG1J5040T3NOV Thermocouple broken, everything built into the door, rebuild everything (burner, door and all piping, thermocouple igniter etc.) is from 250 to 300 dollars. With this part, which cost about $25, I was able to easily and inexpensively replace the thermocouple, igniter, and igniter by loosening a few screws.

Pros
  • Proper performance
Cons
  • Modern

The only downside is the thermopile. No hole torch required

Works as expected. Couldn't get replacement parts in stores because nobody sells hot tub water heaters anymore. And this part is cheaper than the one that comes with the burner. And combustion chamber gasket and glass and lid. All unnecessary. If you're perhaps a DIYer, you want to make things as easy as possible for yourself. Then buy a hole because then all you have to do is unscrew and re-tighten a few things and you're done. But the only negative is the thermopile.

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • Not bad

Fits Honeywell πŸ‘πŸΌ

Bought for my mom's gas water heater because the thermopile broke down, I thought I'd have to adjust it (cutting and soldering wires etc) but I was lucky not the Case it is identical to the old one (HONEYWELL), the only problem I had was the flexible pilot gas line, I used the old one as a template and when I tightened the new one it didn't seal in the control box. (gas leak) for free, probably I hadn't inserted the end of the hose far enough so I had to disassemble and use the old one, maybe…

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Not the best

Hot water again! in Water Heaters and Spare Parts

Our indicator light kept going out. After looking locally for a role without success, I grabbed Revane and here it is. I will say the item did not fit my Whirlpool mfg by AO Smith tank but the picture from the previous review helped - thanks! The packaging is excellent, the instructions are excellent. Everything is great and easy to swap out. An advice. When you put everything back together and the indicator light comes on, don't expect the gas to turn on right away. I got scared, pulled out…

  • Easy Installation
Cons

Good price good fit

As for ease of installation, I had trouble initially as I've never played around with a water heater. I spent a lot of time carefully studying the situation and taking photos for assembly. Objectively, however, these are just a few screws and wire connections to assemble a thermopile. I had to take it apart the next day because I made a mistake. The second installation was easy and took less than 45 minutes. So if you're a decent jack of all trades, do it yourself. I saved myself at least $150.

  • Some cons

After the basement flooded I had to remove and clean the water heater burner assembly. I rounded the nut when pulling it off and accidentally pinched the aluminum ignition gas line. This Reliance Water Heater Gas Thermopile Assembly 9007876 was used to replace a Kenmore water heater model #153331651 9007876 Pilot Assembly w/Tubing and Fittings. Bending the test tube tube to match the old one you're replacing with before installing is a helpful tip I got on YouTube. The hardest part of the work…
