The same old dye that used to suit me just fine.

When my black pants look faded and worn I just repaint them and they look great. Just remember to hand wash them separately afterwards or you'll ruin the whole laundry!

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Worked well

I bought this to dye my husband's pants, it didn't turn out black but turned grey, I think the fabric was too thick or I should have bought a second pack to match to repaint it. All in all I can't complain, I will definitely work with another material.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Concise instructions

Great for refreshing faded blacks

When I first used a box of this color I was trying to make faded green jeans black. I used the bucket method and it barely gave them a mottled shade of dark gray. Not exactly what I intended. I'm sure if I used two packs of dye on a pair of jeans they could get even darker, but honestly I don't think it's worth the time or money to re-dye them at this stage. as the jeans were originally bought on sale for $5. The second color box was used to darken some faded blacks. I love my black cotton…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • New competitors are here
