The best accessories for F150!

While I'm stuck with a plastic oil pan, I'm glad this product was created. With a factory yellow plug every time I took it out for an oil change, my garage was a huge mess. This fixes that problem so I can now control the flow and pour it through the hose and into the container with no mess. I have a fumoto valve on my other cars to avoid clutter but they tried to develop a similar product to this one but after 2 years they still haven't released it. I'm glad I finally found a solution!

Check your car before ordering this part number

I was about to do my first oil change on a 2018 expedition and saw an online YouTube video of the process. All the videos I saw mentioned that the 2018 Expedition had a flimsy yellow plastic drain plug. I bought a Ronin fork because I thought I would need it too. I started changing the oil by removing the panel under the car and looking for a yellow plastic plug for a long time before realizing my oil pan had a metal plug. I wanted to replace the metal connector with the ronin, but the ronin…

Nice hardware, doesn't work in my truck

I really should have paid more attention. I installed a Ronin oil plug on our 2018 F150 2.7L 4x4 Supercabin and was happy to use it on my next oil change. Finally the time had come and I put a piece of hose on the end of the drain adapter. and with the hose in place it couldn't be inserted into the drain plug. Front stabilizer too close. I could use it without a hose at best, and there's little mess as the flow rate is much less than the original configuration. However, screwing in the drain…

You get what you pay for.

When a product works, looks and feels as good as this, it's worth the money. After oiling myself with a factory plastic plug, I bought it and installed it on my 2018 F150 5.0L to never oil myself again. It may seem overpriced, but it's also been redesigned to be reliable, durable, and easy to use. Plus it looks cool. Can I have a price for the steepness? Yes you can. It's $80. Jokes aside, as good as this thing is, I don't think it should cost more than $40, but I think the other $40 could be…

No more cooking in oil!

Absolutely brilliant! Ford Motor Company must buy up the patent and allow the inventor to retire on an island in the Caribbean. It's sad these days when manufacturers are smart with pennies and dumb with dollars. Many of us prefer to change the oil ourselves, and while the o-ring drain plug design is virtually indestructible, it's plastic and hot oil spilling out of the engine pan makes a mess! Once installed, the Ronin not only lets you control the rate at which the old (and did I say hot?)…

Doing your own oil changes is a must!

Easy to install. I just did my first oil change with no problems. A 5/8" clear vinyl tube connects to it and I can fill my recyclable containers. The reason it's over $80 is because this thing is made entirely of machined aluminum. This fork is very well finished. I know it will save my many stains and keep hot oil from running down my arm. QUICK TIP ---- first time oil change and installation. Unscrew the old drain plug first. Do not remove the dipstick and engine filler cap. Failure to do…

The best I've ever bought.

The best product I have ever bought for my Ford. I have a 2018 Ford F150 XLT 5.0L. I wanted to change the oil myself and found it very messy. I watched several videos and they were all dirty. Someone said screw in the yellow plastic drain plug (I'll never understand why plastic) and slowly screw it in until the oil starts to slowly flow out. Then hold for 2 minutes. That does not work. I suggest holding it longer than 2 minutes. Like 5 minutes. I know it's long but there will be less chaos…

Seemed like a good idea but disappointed

I've read reviews that this is the best way to control oil flow during an oil change. I bought it and installed it and this report after the 1st oil change with it. It was easy to assemble and doesn't leak. When I removed the cover to install the special screw in the tool, oil started to flow out. I didn't have to screw the tool in, it dripped. I screwed the tool in and it came out quicker, but I was under the impression that the oil shouldn't drain when you're not using the tool. After all the

Oil Spill Guard - Engine Parts

Waited until he arrived today to change the oil. For those wondering why pay $$$ for any reason when you remove the factory cap from an oil pan, oil will pour in there like a fire hose, or Niagara Falls will flood everything in sight. Do not ask me. How do I know. To make matters worse, there is a very thick stabilizer about 2 inches from the cork that hits everywhere and squirts oil. The stabilizer is so close that you can't stick a funnel or "oil guide" in there without getting oil…
