Paul is amazing! suitable for paint and primer

Easy to follow instructions. Easy to take off. We didn't need the whole kit for our 2 car garage. I don't know why we waited so long!

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Some small things

The floor looks good

Sufficient (garage version for 2.5 cars) for about 300 square meters. ft. The handyman smeared Quikrete onto the repaired floor, which required more than regular epoxy

Really helps with paint, wall treatment and accessories

I was skeptical of paying for what is essentially fine sand to add to the Rust-Oleum Epoxyshield floor paint in my garage. I went ahead and got it and I'm glad I did. It definitely adds structure to the floor and helps prevent slipping. You may find another, cheaper solution, but this one works well.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • I am writing back

It provided adequate adhesion to my epoxy garage floor. I used one pack per gallon. I've read other reviews that said it did basically "nothing" for the clutch, but it definitely works. I applied 2 coats to my epoxy floor and after the first coat no sticking, the floor was definitely very smooth. I added this to the second layer and my wet crocs don't slip at all.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Useless features

Good slip protection, but difficult to clean!

Excellent product to mix with paint on stairs to reduce slip factor. However, I give it four stars because it's quite difficult to clean after applying it on the stairs. We have a long-haired dog, and her fur always gets tangled in the "grooves" of the sand. Washing up or wiping with paper towels was impossible. You must use a vacuum with a spike and rags or towels for cleaning. If you just want to decrease the smoothness, this will work.

Poor adhesion - paint, wall care products and accessories

Not 5 stars based on end result. I used two packs for extra grain coverage. However, the results are still not what I was looking for. The bottom is still slippery with some sand. I was wearing socks and was still slipping. What I've researched is DO NOT mix it with the epoxy once it sets and you won't get consistent results. Rather, after applying it, you spray it onto the coating, similar to the paint chip technique. The crushed stone is applied to the coating, giving a more textured finish…

To be smart. Get an old Goodwill salt shaker to apply this

I have used products like this before where you mixed the material straight into the paint. This will quickly clog your roller or brush with sand to the point where it almost won't pick up paint. There is a better way. Paint the surface, sprinkle with colored chips, and then sprinkle with this crumb. It is very difficult to smoothly control the application by hand. With an old salt shaker, you can shake out the dust much more evenly than you can by hand. As with salt, a small pinch never hurts.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Great price

The devil is in the details.

3 starts (so far). This bag is really tiny at 3.4 ounces and the instructions say to mix it with 1 gallon of epoxy paint. My project is for a 2.5 car (2 gallon) garage so I was planning on ordering a second bag. After reading the comments, I quickly searched the internet and found that I could purchase 8 ounces. Bag (in place) at the same price. I plan to use 2 x 8oz bags for my project and mix up one 8oz bag. Pocket for a 1 gallon can of paint as I don't feel comfortable splattering it over…

FANTASTIC PRODUCT. Blends easily

AWESOME PRODUCT. It mixes easily, the paint is easily applied, and the resulting finish is now much safer. Without an additive, the surface is very smooth and shiny, and becomes slippery when wet. Per the directions, you can add 1 or 2 packs per gallon of paint. Using part or all of the second pack will make the surface more non-slip, so it's probably a good idea to buy more than one pack and experiment to get the consistency you want. may discolour over time. Will definitely buy again for a…
