It worked great for a week

It worked great for a week and now my AC keeps turning on and off. I don't know what happened, but if it turns out not to be a capacitor I'll change my rating.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Updates

How to get the right part

Bought as a backup and in case you need it while traveling on our bus. Something went wrong on our last trip and now everything seems fine, so good to have this on board and ready to go.

Pros
  • Quality workmanship
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

RV Air difficult to start. - HVAC

Easy to install but hard to determine if it made a difference. With temperatures above 107 for most of the month so far (was 119 on one day), it's possible my AC is just overloaded. However, considering the cost, I would certainly add it even if I had no problem. It looks like it must be a factory item.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • No power

That's cool. good for the aircon

Ok for starters, my campervan's rear aircon didn't start but the front did start fine after some choking, shaking and coughing. lol. I added the resistor back because it overheated and now stays around 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Photo of the rear air conditioner. He is older than the front one, but the same wiring. Now for parts lol.

Pros
  • Lots of good vibes

I'm just glad I found this part and a .

I used this to repair my air conditioner on wheels. The price was ok compared to an RV AC mechanic who is charged for repairs. I'm not saying the in-store prices are unfair. Businesses have huge overheads and need to make a profit to stay in business. I'm just glad I found this part and did the repair myself.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Protection

MYSELF Motorhome Parking Air Conditioner

The motorhome air conditioner suddenly stopped working. I read that these RV units rarely need to be charged so I decided to give it a try. existing condenser on the van roof unit. This EASY to install $25 part saved $150 an hour (+ parts) from the RV store scammers. I reckon I probably saved over $500 compared to what an RV store would have charged.

Pros
  • Rugged Finish
Cons
  • Unbelievable Price

What else can be said about the starting capacitor

Air conditioners that use it come with built in capacitors. The problem is that if you don't have this little gem to help you, the heat exchangers will fill up and the pumps will fail prematurely. My particular device was the Coleman Mach and it was already installed. The device did not work for me for several years after the initial installation, but in the end it gave up - the new starting capacitor did not help - the pump does not work. I suspect this will be a replacement part.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Only available in white

Cheaper than diagnosis in the motor home service.

It's not my problem but everything went fine. My device was silent, no buzzing, nothing. It ended up being a bad terminal connection on the control board under the cover and in the RV's rooftop air conditioner heat exchanger. Simply sliding the connector on its mating connector made it work. Argg! Light corrosion causing intermittent problems. Living in a house on wheels. Replacing this element is relatively easy, but involves dangerous heights and exposure to intense electrical current if done

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Ok
