    This knife will last forever

I bought this knife for my wife because I didn't like the store bought knife she was using. Had to sharpen weekly. This is very thin steel and I haven't had to sharpen it in months.

    Great everyday knife

This knife is very well built. It feels good in the hand and feels solid. Be careful when using it as it is very sharp. I've used it to cut veggies, meat and poultry and it cuts through everything with ease. I recommend this knife for everyday use.

    It's ok for the price

I lost my favorite 3" twin and $60 for a new one, seriously, so I tried a few copycats and settled on this one. I feel bulky in my hand and not as elegant as twin.I hope that the knife I lost will be found again one day.Overall it's ok for the price.

Very good knife, suitable for paring knives

Very good knife! Sharp edge right out of the box, which isn't always the case with the knives I've found. It's great for chopping garlic and ginger. To me, this isn't the kind of knife I would use for scraping, but that's because I have small hands and some arthritis. It is very well made and very durable.

    Pros
    • Decent performance
    Cons
    • No performance

Not the best option. - Knife cutlery and accessories

A good strong knife but I just can't get used to how it feels in my hand and the size of the blade interferes with the cleaning process. This rating is for me and my way of working - for others it may seem perfect! I don't think it holds the blade well - I have to sharpen it a lot and it never gets as sharp as my other knives.

    Pros
    • Lots of positive emotions
    Cons
    • A little maintainability

    Bang for the dollar, wow!

Bought to replace a professional carving knife from MIA Henckels about 2 weeks ago. So far I absolutely love it. Great weight and balance, good size, good hand feel and very sharp right out of the box. The full shaft design is great, very smooth and well made. I have used a variety of knives both at home and professionally and this is an inexpensive and impressive knife that I would definitely recommend.

Well balanced, well built and well designed

The Saken paring knife was exceptionally good, pleasing to the eye and pleasing to the hands. I was surprised when I bought the knife on sale just after the tip of my previous paring knife mysteriously broke off on a family visit :-) nice box, more of a presentation box which isn't bad either. This one gets a well-deserved top mark!

    External functionality

Knife with an impressive look. And it comes in an array of polluting birdhouses (I wonder how many trees have been sacrificed to impress me with elegant boxes and lids). It's a pity that the knife doesn't realize its potential. In short; that is hard. In fact, it's too heavy and the knife's balance point is halfway to the handle, making it awkward to use. After a short time of use, I feel like I've won the fight. I have to keep rearranging it in my hand. WEARY. This knife does not disappear in…

    Pros
    • Very impressive
    Cons
    • Boring packaging

Very good blade with perfect balance for a paring knife. Great Value!

An excellent paring knife. The handle is relatively heavy compared to the blade, which is perfect for the type of work you will be doing with this knife. The blade lies nimble and quickly in the hand. I'm very, very picky about my knives and I have several top quality Japanese and German knives. While I prefer Japanese-style chef's knives (over 8 inches) because they're thin and light, I definitely like the heavier handle for a paring knife because it naturally points the blade up. Imagine…
