Description of Samba EFS NAS - Unlimited Connected Users

A prominent feature of our Samba server is the ability for you to attach up to 25 EBS drives. There are no limits to how many active connections you can have. This means that the only limiting factor is the performance of the server itself. If your user starts complaining about the connection being too slow, or if you see the CPU time is above 75 percent, then you can just switch to a bigger instance type to accommodate the new traffic and users. The setup also has built-in resilience, which means that as long as you provide the same UserData for the new EC2 instance, then our product will automatically mount all your drives at boot time. And if you provide the same local IP then we will use that too, which allows the IP of the server to always be the same. Share your drives now. Highlights: - Preconfigured Samba Server with auto mount for EBS drives. - Configuration through EC2 Instance UserData. - No configuration of the OS is needed.

Easy sharing solution for non tech savvy people

I like that it's easy to set-up, and allows me to share my files with others without having them log into anything but their own computer. It also has an option where they don't need any special software or devices to access your shared file/folder. This isn't something that requires a lot of technical knowledge (like setting up samba) so anyone could use this if needed. You do not get notifications when someone logs in or out, which makes it difficult to know who is accessing what at all…

Pros
  • Easy for everyone involved; no matter how much tech savvy you have.you can still install! Very user friendly interface even though its basic functionality.
  • The program works well enough once installed & connected properly through WIFI
Cons
  • I don't really have any dislikes about this, everything is just fine

Offers many options for backing up data and managing remotely

I like that it allows multiple computer users in different locations access via WiFi or cellular network without having their own dedicated storage space (which costs money). It's also very easy to use once configured correctly, which means setting things initially was fairly simple as well! If there were more native applications made available by default such as MS Office 365/SharePoint Online then this would be even better but all-inclusive products cost some extra expense so not sure if…

Pros
  • Ability for anyone with an internet connection can connect remotely anytime
  • Great interface; everything is seamless & cleanly organized
Cons
  • Minor Issues

It was pretty straight forward to setup. In a matter of minutes my machine was ready to go and had connected to my shared drives. All the steps were clearly described. It does take some getting used to as most of us don’t use AWS. For example when I logged into my EBS volume and saw the EBS volume listed, it was already mounted on my system. This is something that took a little time to get used to and I am sure others would find the same. As far as I could tell the performance was good…

Pros
  • Quick deployment and configuration
  • A nice tool for automating manual tasks (like backing up files)
Cons
  • You must have an active Internet connection to upload files
  • If you forget to run the backup script before you turn off the computer, the files will not be backed up.
