Note on batteries: It's worth buying real C batteries There are many brands that are not conscientious in the sense that they are really just AA batteries in a C container , and therefore don't last as long as the conscientious C's. I like this radio because it works so well. I won't complain about the physical design as I have worked in electrical engineering and am aware of the cost. I have had a Sangean PR-D5 for 4 years. I liked the radio but it had some flaws. The PR-D15 is an updated version of the PR-D5 and I think Sangean did a great job of addressing these shortcomings. This radio is used 75% for AM talk radio and 25% for iPhone podcasts via the AUX jack (talk radio again).
