Cons

Very rough and raw

I was hoping to use this leather for a wallet but the appearance is very rough and unsightly. The underside is papery and not something you want to get your head around.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Nothing here

A very nice piece of leather.

Thick and strong. I used this to make my grandfather's knife sheath. I'm not a leather specialist but it turned out pretty well, the leather is very strong but at the same time supple when treated with the right products. I have no doubt these sheaths will last a lifetime, they probably get better with age to be honest.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Good enough. Color not as plain as "Dark Brown "

I will be using this leather in the woodworking workshop. Line the vise jaws and make small loops. It will be great for that. For anything where color or stretchy texture is important, this may not work for you. I've seen this color called "tobacco" elsewhere. It's not just "dark brown" but more of a reddish brown.

Pros
  • Leather strips, figures and trimmings
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Ideal for polishing woodworking tools to razor sharpness.

I use it to sharpen woodworking tools. Cut to size and glued to a board with one rough side and one rough side, when used with a rouge polish you get an absolute mirror shine. It accepts rouge well, withstands intensive processing with razor-sharp chisels, planes and knives for up to a year without noticeable wear. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Power
Cons
  • Without automatic

I'm so happy! I thought for such a price I will not.

I'm so happy! I thought that for such a price I wouldn't get great quality, but I was so wrong! This is a beautiful piece of thick leather in a beautiful rich brunette colour! One half of it is a bit unsettling (and I love it), the other side is perfect - saves me a lot of time on this one! I am going to use this for a fauxdori cover and it will look amazing!

Pros
  • Crafts and sewing
Cons
  • Some mistakes
