Get something different.

Not for long. The rubber ripped and ripped after a few months. 2 stars for design and ease of installation. I return to the black rubber band with 5 hooks.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • ---

I took them because the picture is deceptive.

I chose this for BLACK tracks for my truck. Nowhere in the pictures or anywhere else does it say that the necklaces are not for sale. But I see where I can use them.

Pros
  • Hands free
Cons
  • Not bad

Very bad quality. Broken during installation

Very poor quality. Broke during installation. The chains must be tensioned to avoid damaging the vehicle. Buy black S-hook rubber bungee cords at hardware store for $1.25 each and save money/frustration.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Insecure

Mud Bogging: Accessories and Parts

This spring has been tough on the ranch. Heavy snow and mud melt, and spring storms help my husband's truck tires get stuck in the mud and get home safe and sound. I also enjoy it because I wash and vacuum. Well-tensioned chains mean no jamming. Not getting stuck means not cooking in dirty clothes!

Pros
  • Perfect for Outdoor Activities
Cons
  • Some Cons

Save money for this junk.

Worn yesterday after getting stuck on a drift road. I chained, installed these tensioners - rode 200 meters, got out to check chain tension and both tensioners were already broken and lying somewhere in the snow behind me. On the way back I saw a few pieces in the snow. They self-destructed, to say the least. Save money for this junk.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Only available in black

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Easy installation, lousy lifespan.

They lasted a season on our snow thrower. They were a lot easier to install than the big black rubber bands they replaced. When I removed the chains they were still holding, but they were already cracking quite badly. For the price, I'm not offended, but I won't buy it again. I think next year I'll take some metal extension springs that are about the right length and attach them to the ring in this kit.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have opted for a newer model
