Not good for hollow anchors

This will work if it fits perfectly between the anchor and plasterboard, otherwise it won't. The other tool is much cheaper and works better.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Slightly crumpled

You need this tool if.

Insert drywall anchors like that, yes - that's exactly the tool you definitely need, otherwise you won't get the screws. Worth the price and fast shipping.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Doubtful

I like bad execution of thoughts.

The tool and anchors are well thought out, but the tool pulls out without "squeezing" the anchors into the wall. It breaks out of the tool head and renders the dowel unusable.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Something different

Better quality than expected

The tool is easy to use. Seems well done. Minimal learning time required for use. The key is choosing the right anchor for the installation. Two loose towel rails tightened. Expect the renovation to take several years.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Hard to say

Heavy Duty Metal Anchor Setting Tool

This gives the anchors the ability to control the start of tightening. Reasonable cost and functionality. Facilitates their tight "screwing" to drywall. I would recommend them to those having trouble getting a screwdriver to get the job done. This is a good tool, durable and well made.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Security

Compress strongly: anchors with hollow walls

If it were easier to compress with a ratchet. Again, this might not be great for drywall as you can crush the drywall. I put them in a concrete block so as not to be afraid of crushing something. Works about half the time to keep the anchor from spinning so wish I could press harder or the tool would break.

Pros
  • Many positive emotions
Cons
  • Volume

Really good tool but don't overdo it.

Love the ease of use and the fact that a light push is enough to break the lever pins. Change screw thread. Then you need to pull out the destroyed lever pin. Each size of lever screw requires a different amount of effort to seat properly. The accuracy of fit increases with use.

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • Unfashionable

Better than plastic Mollys

I don't know why it took me so long to buy this unit. I got frustrated with using plastic mollies and then it got looser when there was pressure. I would have to disassemble and tighten or replace the Molly and then reinstall the racks. Now when I attach towel rails or shower curtain rods, I know they'll stay tight and tidy. Simply insert Molly, slide it into the tool, pull the trigger and you're done. Very happy.

Pros
  • Anchor
Cons
  • Slightly Crumpled

Once I got the hang of it, everything worked like clockwork.

I recently installed a couple of speakers on the wall (two straight and two through the shelves) and it worked with all of them. I used to use anchors that have a point and are driven into the wall. I've seen them without that point and wondered how they level up and now I know! You start with a simple hole (1/4" if I remember) and then some force to push the anchor (it came in handy). After that you use the tool to pull the screw head and open the anchor. I always had to unscrew the included…

Pros
  • Hollow Wall Anchors
Cons
  • weak
