Pros
  • There is no need for training to learn how to use the tool because its very intuitive and very easy to use.
  • There is also a free edition which is good enough to test the product.
Cons
  • Can be a little confusing when creating maps especially if you are not familiar with how to use it.
  • Can't access saved maps unless you pay for a premium version

SimpleMind is a simple mind mapping program that allows you to create your own personal map of concepts and ideas.

What I liked best about Simple Mind was that it allowed me to create my own personal map of concepts and ideas, which then could be exported to Word, Excel or PowerPoint documents. The software also allowed me to share my maps via e-mail with colleagues. Another great feature was the ability to export and save the maps as PDF files, which I could print and store in my briefcase. The software also gave me the ability to record and annotate the maps. This is a great tool for finding out what people are interested in and for sharing ideas.

It’s amazing how much information you can get from it if you want to. It has plenty of features, including text notes, hyperlinks and pictures that you can add to nodes to further categorize them. It allows you to save maps so you can go back later and edit them. It is very intuitive and simple to use. You can see what topics others are interested in and look for similar topics yourself. I really like the map feature. My only issue would be having an easier way to export all my data. If there…

I was impressed with the ease of use of SimpleMind and the fact that it does what it says it does.

I was impressed with the ease of use of SimpleMind and the fact that it does what it says it does. I would however suggest that they put more emphasis on the social aspect of mind mapping and less on the visual side. Also there should be a better integration with other tools (Evernote etc). In general I liked it, but would suggest that they add more focus on the social aspect of mind mapping, especially on how it could help teams collaborate better.
