I liked them so much that I bought a pair for.

I have somewhat skinny calves and was concerned about finding something tight enough to improve my circulation or missing something. They stay tight even after multiple washes (although I do let mine air dry). I liked them so much I bought a pair for my fiance because he split his shins while running and jumping rope in CrossFit. He wore them continuously for two or three weeks and his shin splints healed and did not come back for several months.

Pros
  • SKINS Performance Compression: it's the gear, not the clothes
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Great for weightlifting (calfs)

On heavy calf training cycles, they really help me reduce the stress on my connective tissues. Maybe it's the mentality, but they're also great for running on the treadmill while I adjust to big calves. I put them on early, warm them up, and then leave them on for about 30 minutes. Although it's psychological, my weight has been increasing, so don't worry ;) It's not the tight compression garments people think of as strength training, just useful for mere mortals. High Qaulity Skins Gear

To be honest this is 10x more calf compression than the cheaper ultrasonically welded version that is only printed on skins. Side. I got them from the UK because they are hard to find in the US. I have used (and still use occasionally) 2XU, Zensah, CEP and they are by far the best. If you can handle the wait and are patient, you will love them. High quality with stitched edges, fit like a champ and stylish. I even bought a pair of their hand warmers/compression sleeves with the same form factor

Pros
  • Dynamic gradient compression delivers more oxygenated blood to active muscles for increased strength and endurance
Cons
  • Some trouble

Good product, runs small, runs small for my size.

Good product but too small, material thinner than expected, had to return. BUT they were too tight. I am 6ft 4in calf 16.5in/42cm which according to their size chart is the middle of the LARGE. They were difficult to put on and literally within 5 minutes my toes were tingling from circulatory issues. By the way, they are of good quality and look good. anyway: I wanted something stronger/somewhat thicker stuff. I'm looking for support, but also muscle warmth. So instead of ordering the next size
