Defective less than 4000 lbs

Defective less than 4000 lbs, quick release buckle has the rope pinched and flipped, looks like the pin holding the latch is broken or dislodged. No longer works.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Large and bulky

Fast, easy, safe best for boating

I don't mind tying knots, but it's VERY easy not to use. I use it with a sliding anchor. I throw a 19 foot bowrider onto sandy beaches and I have no trouble keeping the boat safe even with a big hit. I leave the danik hook attached to the bowline and it works well on the pier too.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • There are nuances

Built as a tiny tank

I thought the price was a bit high. I still do, but it's for convenience and so I don't have to rely on others to bring my boat to shore when I'm resting, which is why I bought it. I'm glad I did. The thing is very well built. I hope I'm right about that, but I don't think it will ever wear out.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

Just great for sailing and sailing

I really like these things. I used them on each corner to hang the wind sail which makes it very easy to take off and put back on. I bought six and use them for many applications where I need to set up a rope quickly. My friends, boat owners in particular, wanted a link to buy them after seeing their functionality.

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Something different

Well finished and perfect, waterproof even on dry land.

Although they are designed for use on boats I use two of these on the back of my truck to adjust ropes to hold wood and large items that are sticking out the back. Since the trunk bed gets wet, I opted for stainless steel. I've been familiar with the Danik hook since owning a boat and they work just as well on land, keeping line at the right length.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • There are new competitors

Cool little toy that makes life easier

Cool little toy that makes life easier. Of course, any good boat should be able to tie basic knots, but it's nice to have this little beauty. I really like it when you have to constantly adjust the anchor lines when the tide is in. Press the button and adjust the line. Very easy. I also find it helpful when drunk friends help hold the anchor line without my knowledge. With this device, you don't have to worry about knotting ability.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Secret

The perfect way to keep your boat where you want it when the tide comes in.

It's amazing. Allows you to adjust the position of your boat when anchored on a bank with an ebb or flow of tides without untying the knots and trying again. Very high quality product. Many sailors have asked me where I got them from. I told them on Revain. In the weeks that followed, I noticed that I wasn't the only boater with this product at our boating location. Also, I received them on time. I use them every day to keep my boat where I want it without much fuss.

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons
  • Very expensive

Expensive but high quality and works well

I was hoping to find something similar for less money elsewhere but it seems the Danik hook (patent pending) has cornered the market . Despite the price, I ordered a pair and was very surprised at how well made they are. Very durable and easy to use. I've used them for 3/8" and 5/8" rope and had no problems with either diameter. Just be careful when throwing these hooks overboard to your sailor (wife), they're pretty heavy and will definitely leave a mark! Given the investment these hooks…

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

The easiest way to hook your boat without having to tie knots!

finally! I have found the best way to anchor my boat without having to tie and untie knots when fishing multiple locations at different depths. I operate an 18 foot flat boat on a fishing charter and the boat is set up for fly fishing so there are no spikes on the bow of the boat to tie the anchor line to. I always had to tie a loop knot at the desired length of rope and then attach a carabiner to attach the hook to the bottom of the bow. This became annoying as I kept wanting to jump out of…
