No metal eyelets: toys

My African Gray loves these shoes and there are no metal eyelets in this set. I'm not sure if they're worth your money but my boy just loves them so much. I gave it 5 stars because he loves it even though the features were only 3 stars. If you're looking for a toy that your bird will love, this is it, especially if you fill it with treats.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Updates available

Kennel loves them they destroy in no time

My Sunny Kenoor Skittles loves them she tears them to shreds almost in no time. So I rate them as low durability and strength. What can I say, bird toys are meant to be destroyed, I just wish they were a little more durable. At the same time, this is the best price I've seen for these little shoes and I'll be buying more.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • No instructions

No metal tip

Birds love it. If you have any that have metal on the tip holes, send them back. They don't have Bonka shoes, apparently someone mistook them for a cheaper (unsafe) version when packing. They can withstand a little rubbing, but you can't wash them. There is a large cardboard box for the sole of the shoe. They are definitely worth it, I think the pack likes them more than any other toy.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

How sure are you?

Let me start by saying my hardy macaw loves them! She loves anything metal related, but unfortunately I'm not sure what metal the tiny rings that laces go through are made out of, plus she can swallow metal bits. These super cute shoes also have a very strong rubber smell. I have found other parrot tennis shoes that don't have a strong smell or metal rings at my local bird store for about $4 each. It's partly my fault for not reading the description better.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Requires outlet

Excellent "chew " for parrots!

My Senegal parrot is obsessed with shoes. My favorites. :/ When I saw this pack of colorful mini canvas and rubber t-shirts I decided to risk it. While my husband and kids are all working/studying/holding Zoom meetings from home, these shoes keep my parrot busy! First he chews on the rubber sole, then it goes to the shoelaces. I have 3 boots hanging from a plastic link in his cage and it took him a couple of weeks to destroy them. Maybe I'll buy more than one pack next time!

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Not the best

My gray parrot loves his sneakers! I unlace the shoelaces and then tie the two ends back together and hang them on a pole or cage bar (like you see the sneakers hanging over the phone lines from the outside). sneakers from below. She will patiently pull up her sneakers link by link and with great pleasure completely destroy her Converse sneakers. She's on her third batch of sneakers. I have to order some next month. The first piece that always disappears is the rubber outsole. Nothing else on…

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure

Loved by all parrots!

I've found my budgies to be crazy about shoelaces, entertaining them for hours every day. When I saw these I had to buy them. And yes! They love it too. Today one of my parrots managed to untie a double knotted lace twice. I feel pretty safe. I keep them out of the cage so they play with them most of the time, they are supervised. All the little details are really polished and well done. Edit - I gave one to my Senegal parrot and it pulls out bits of plastic from under the sole. I had to take…

My African Gray LOVES these

First, they don't have metal grommets. Not sure why other reviews are saying this, maybe they are getting them from a different source. The first day I put a red shoe in a cage. My dear AG hissed at her so I took it off and put it on the table next to the cage for her to stare at her suspiciously for a few days. Then I put it on the floor in the corner of the cage and she nudged it a few times. When she decided the shoes wouldn't kill her she attacked and oh my god she LOVES it! It took two…
