Great tool for learning complex processes

The fact that it's free to use, not expensive at all to download or install. It has many features such as fluid flow, heat transfer, and mechanical stress analysis. I don't have any complaints about this software. I think it's very user friendly and easy to learn how to operate it. You can easily create your own models using this program. For example, you could make a model of blood vessels in order to study their structure. This would be helpful when trying to find ways to improve them. Also…

Pros
  • User friendly interface.
  • Very intuitive for beginners; even newbies should understand pretty quickly what they're doing once presented an instance where these calculations were required like building something from scratch (a bridge) rather than taking into consideration various parameters already existing within our country/towns
Cons
  • There are troubles

Very helpful tool for those who do not want learn Python

The ability to create complex models using simple python scripts makes it very easy! The GUI interface could be more intuitive, but overall I am happy that there are so many options available in this software (such as meshing tools). It's great being able build your own applications without having any coding experience or knowledge of how things work internally - just write some code which runs simulations :)I have been working mostly within my undergraduate research project by creating 3D…

Pros
  • Ease of use; you can develop extremely complicated structures with little difficulty.
  • Allows integration between multiple simulation softwares such Excel VBA Simulink MATLAB COMSOL FEMAPLOTS ANSYS TOUGH2RAN1CH
Cons
  • Empty

Very efficient simulation and planning tool

I like that it has been developed by different groups, so there are several models available to use in order of difficulty (the model I'm using now was made by my university). The interface could be more intuitive for newbies; maybe some tutorials or videos would help? It's easy enough if you know what your doing but still requires learning time from someone who knows how things work inside out. So far we haven't had any problems implementing this software into our departmental projects. We're

Pros
  • Versatility
  • Flexibility can do anything with little knowledge required.
  • no license cost needed
Cons
  • Almost everything is ok
