    It stopped the loud knocking

my husband ordered and installed it. Now the loud banging of the trumpets has stopped. I can't comment on how easy the installation was because I didn't install it. He is my personal jack of all trades and does a lot of DIY work himself. All I can say is that it works!

Worked but replaced one sound with another.

Although he got rid of the gavel, he replaced the sound with whistling or howling. First it screamed. It turned into a little howl or something. Aside from an odd screeching noise in the laundry room, that did the trick and stopped the knocking.

    not flush or tight

they must be perfectly aligned or they will leak. Water supply valve. If you can fit in the "box" for the wash hoses, then good luck trying to wrap the pipe tape around the threads so the flame arrestor is a snug fit.

Prevents water hammer on LG front loaders.

So far on day one they are great. Attaches directly to the back of the LG washing machine. Calmed down! The opening and closing of the solenoids was making my PEX water system so hard/fast and making me nervous! But not anymore. Didn't even know they existed until a quick google search. Time will tell how these hold up.

    pipes rattle. No longer!

I got a new water heater and my pipes have been rattling since the plumber didn't fix them the way they were originally. And here's that hammer fuse! Unscrew the connectors on my washing machine, unscrew the hammers. Ba-Bam. The pipe no longer rattles because my washing machine turns the water on and off! couldn't be easier to fix. I daresay. EVERYONE can!

It fixed the water hammer on my LG washing machine

I attached them straight to the back of the washing machine and ran a load to see if that would fix the water hammer. Problem solved! I had no idea this existed or I would have bought it 10 years ago. I tried attaching the water pipes to the ceiling and screwing them to the wall next to the washing machine, but that didn't work. It was easy and quick to fix. I recommend this if you have water hammer issues. The repair takes only three minutes.

Is working. Ease of installation. Pipes stop rattling

My new washing machine has a very cheap fill valve. It abruptly opens and closes the inlet of hot and cold water. This action caused my copper water pipes to burst, making it sound like Norm Abram was building a house in my basement. Two of my relatives had a plumber install them, which cost them about $100. If you have a clogged pipe problem, it will be fixed immediately. You don't need a plumber. If you can connect a garden hose to a spigot, so can you. Very easy. Call an installer if the…

    Works Great: Pipe Fittings

For years the pipes in our house would bang against the walls while we were doing the laundry. We recently got a new washing machine and I realized I had to do something about it. I bought them and installed them in the washing machine faucets (along with the inlet hoses). Instant difference! I would say about 95% of the knock is gone. I only hear that now if something else in the house is using the water at the same time as doing laundry (e.g. someone showering at the same time). I suppose…

    Improved but not entirely fixed

Like many here, I have an LG washing machine with ultra-fast valves, combined with the relatively high water pressure in my house (40-60 pounds per square inch) create a rather loud water hammer effect when closed . I had a choice of where to install the arresters: on the washing machine itself or on the wall (the other end of the power lines connecting the washing machine to the wall). I attached them to the washing machine inlets, which effectively puts them just a few inches from the valves.
