My son didn't like the way it sat on him. He said it was too cold for him in the water. The shirt fell apart after one wash. I bought another swim shirt from Lands End and it has held up great even after several washes. My son has only worn it a few times and will not wear it again.

Great for my 8 year old son who weighs about 60 pounds. It is expected to last two years. I've noticed that it's "pulled out" a bit after a few weeks of use, but it's really rough - boogie boarding and lots of beach sand play. The fabric is lightweight and cool during a very hot Florida summer. Recommend this one over some I've bought in the past that won't let his skin breathe because they're thick nylon.

I based my purchase on other reviews but obviously you need very specific information to make a sizing decision. I bought size L in white it was supposed to fit a 7 year old, my child is almost 7 and is over 50 percent his height, he is very tall and slim 4ft 2in and 52lbs, this shirt was too big for all respected.
