Nice shoes but run small

I ordered these to replace some Sperry Hamden drivers. They are a bit more streamlined but look very similar. The only issue was the sizing - I ordered my usual size Sperry 10.5 and they were far from close. I suggest ordering a full size. The rest of the build is of good quality as you would expect from a Sperry. The seller (Shoebacca) is very easy to return/refund.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Overall OK but...

Shoes fell apart after 1 month

Driving shoes are known to have scuffs on the toes, but these shoes were completely worn out in less than a month (if only worn 5-10 times). I have returned these shoes and will continue my search for something more permanent.

Order half a size larger

Tight shoes. Comfortable but probably order half a size larger. However, very comfortable, beautiful. If you want them because of the non-slip design, don't buy them. They are absolutely non-slip and not waterproof. I will only use them for private purposes.

. Bought a Sperry from JC Penney and loved it. However

About 4 years ago I bought a JC Penney Sperry with Clearance and I really liked it. However, this couple is a lamb compared to them. It's poorly made and doesn't justify the price. When I put them on the sides kind of fold in if I don't use a shoehorn. They are more comparable to a similar pair I buy online for around $30. To put it mildly, I am disappointed. After some use I will write a review.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

I have bought Sperry's many times over the past ten years.

Over the past ten years I have purchased Sperry's many times in different styles. I've always worn either the 8-1/2 or the 9 so I ordered the 9 and to say the least they run very small. Okay, so are you coming back for a bigger pair? Well, maybe not. The leather of these shoes feels as thin as tissue paper. So, they're going back!

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Reliability

Cheap Venetian?

I used to have Venetian shoes but they fit better, they were lined nicely with deerskin and side overlays. The best comfort for those who don't wear socks. They were thin and neat. No comparison! I think someone has a good name and I wasn't asking for a cheap price or fit. Topsider changes manufacturer? Sorry, but don't compromise on quality!

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Protection

I like it very much, but different than ordered.

Ordered brown and received brown but with pebbled leather as opposed to the smooth leather in the pictures. I like it so I'll keep it. I think it softens the skin so it doesn't hold its shape but should be more comfortable as it conforms better to my foot. I ordered the wide ones and they are still a bit tight but should be perfect when stretched. Definitely get one size bigger. They look great and seem really comfortable. Have to see how they hold up.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Functionality

Great shoes but too tight

It's not the fault of the shoes. My husband has Parkinson's disease which causes swelling in his ankles and feet. He was disappointed that he couldn't fit it on his foot, normally a size 11. Unfortunately this beautiful shoe had to be returned.

Very comfortable shoes. I took comparative measurements

They fit exactly like all my Sperrys, but the comfort is amazing. That being said I have to give some sizing information: I wear 12D New BalanceA size 11D Allen Edmonds For Sperry's I wear 10.5M sizes always run small.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Non-automatic
