Extremely heavy thick iron

This should be a permanent solution to protecting your differential. When I received the package I was shocked by its weight, it weighed around 25 pounds. I like the addition of a top fill plug and drain plug. When you take your 4WD out on the water, you'll likely need to change fluids frequently, making your job easier.

Great diff cover

I installed these and the D30 cover on my 2014 JKU and they look great! The quality of the lids is excellent, screws and a reusable gasket are included. Take the time to thoroughly and thoroughly clean the surface of the diff before installation, I had no leaks. I love that they include two fill and drain points, but most importantly that they are made by the same folks as the original axle assemblies.

Dana 44 Heavy Duty Cover

Fits great on the back of my 2012 Jeep JK non Rubicon. Heavy Duty I love that it has 2 fill holes and a drain hole and it's heavy duty. The only thing is that when installing you first install the old barbed studs to remove the protective varnish from the end of the stud flange on the side of the cover. The coating prevents the screw from being properly tightened. If you install the factory screws, the teeth will remove the coating and then install and tighten the included screws.

I LOVE AMAZON STOCK DEALS!

so I got this gem of a differential cover from Amazon in the used section. The Revain warehouse said it was in "good" condition. When I received the cover it was in absolutely fantastic condition. Everything was just packed in a universal box. The differential cover is very thick compared to the factory cover. It's also very easy to install and I love the gasket that comes with it. Overall very happy with this diff cover and the offering

Quality case, good seller, terrible equipment

cases lived up to expectations. Thick but not rubbing with 2.5-inch Fox reservoir lift and spring. The terrible part is the hardware that comes with it. It's not clear why Spicer was so stingy with that. The torque specification is 25-30 ft-lbs for the cap. I had not one, but TWO of the included screws that snapped in at 17 foot pounds. What the hell is that?!? Decent covers but a word of warning REUSE YOUR OEM SCREWS AND DO NOT REUSE THE SCREWS INCLUDED. It's a pleasure to work with the…

Super cool case! - Spare parts

Advice for those who lift cars. Make sure the trackbar motion bracket is pushing the trackbar up and not down. My Jeep JK lift had a swing out bracket on the side of the frame to adjust my 3" lift. This drop caused the steering rack to rub against this differential cover. Removed the old swingarm and got a new travel arm that attaches to the axle and pushes the chain out of the way. No problem on the Dana cover page. This thing is a beast! Well worth the investment to secure a new…

could be 5 stars c'mon Spicer

USE YOUR ORIGINAL GEAR! Don't be like me, I was lucky it didn't break completely, I read reviews that mentioned broken bolts but still tried to use the ones that came with the kit, the first one I tried tightening to 30lbs , broke, I was able to figure it out and proceeded to replace them all back to the original ones. Everything is tight, no leaks. In addition to the equipment, it is designed for heavy loads, has 2 filling openings at different heights, a drain plug and comes with a quality…

Powerful and beautiful

Beautiful covers including screws and gasket. No problems with the installation and you can fill a little more oil in the differential. The lids are grey, not black like the Amazon picture. No problem for me, they look great. I had no problem with the bolts breaking, I just tightened them with a 3/8 ratchet. My diffs on my 2017 JKU already have drain plugs, so I won't be using the ones on the cap. Disadvantages: The metal for the drain plug rises up in the lid. Looks high enough that if you…

The most incredible piece of ductile iron I've ever seen

The most incredible piece of ductile iron I've ever seen. There are some cooler aftermarket brands that have great reviews but when I saw them from Dana I had to give it a try. I'm glad I did. Workmanship and finish are first class. (I have an XJ with a 44 in the back and a D30 in the front, so I bought both.) Looks like they burned through the iron and powdercoated it with a shiny, smooth finish. I was surprised that the Poison Spyders, which definitely looked sinister and hid the screw heads…
