Need a good wind Garden Sculptures and Statues

later The sculpture is beautiful and looks well made. I like it spinning but need to find a spot with more wind as it seems like it takes more than a light breeze to spin it. Unfortunately I had to return the first delivery due to poor packaging and damaged product. The second arrived safely, but only because the postman had delivered it and was treated with more care. Item is heavy and poorly packaged.

Best quality - even if I tried, I couldn't do better!

Seriously, having put this Stanwood product together, I would buy any Stanwood product. My only issue is the Delaware mud - I'm having problems with soil looseness and will probably remount the pole as there is a guide online (Youtube) on how to set up flagpoles. Bearings and parts could not have been better. I can put a drop of oil on the top of the lower bearing assembly to keep moisture out, but that's about it. Choose the Stanwood spinner design that suits you and enjoy!

A vibrant visual addition to any garden!

The sculpture is well built and has smooth supports. We live in a windy area and this works well. Make sure to seal it with a clear coat as suggested. I didn't and it splattered the first night. Copper reacted quickly. It took me over an hour and effort to polish it to like-new condition. Then I sealed it. If you want a tarnished finish, just leave it outdoors. With a constant wind of 20 km/h plus, the screw connections on the pole (there are 2 pieces) can begin to loosen. I used a small strip…

Unique design, beautiful, more difficult to assemble but worth the effort.

I have four Stanwood wind sculptures and I love them all. Their price (around $300) is unique as I mostly see cheap, budget junk spinners or very expensive "artist" sculptures. I believe the quality of these sculptures represents outstanding value at a modest price. This one was definitely more difficult to assemble than the others and having two people really helped. I was a bit worried when I read other reviews that said it takes a lot of wind to turn it. I have found that this is not the…

See UPDATE warning. The bearings on it are very high quality. I have .

The bearings on this one are very good. I installed it in a place where there isn't a direct wind, but it rotates even when my bells don't make a sound. UPDATE: The support rod came loose in high winds, I suspect it loosened over time. He bent the lure in the fall but managed to snap it almost back to its original shape. To prevent this, I simply add a post lift to my quarterly maintenance schedule for replacing the air filter. Still very satisfied with the product. UPDATE: The bearings got…

A beautiful piece of patio art

This patio piece of art speaks for itself. First of all, it's absolutely beautiful. It spins fairly slowly in the wind, as it should, considering it's not a plastic garden toy. It doesn't require a strong wind to spin, and it spins slowly in light winds. It seems to spin more freely over time. It was fairly easy to put together with very nice step-by-step instructions (in full colour) to help put it together. I gave it four stars for ease of assembly simply because two people put it together in

Love it . with one exception

This is a beautiful detail that gives character to our garden. Easy to assemble (remember to use thread lock on all connections) and set up. The precision bearings are very good and it looks like they will prove durable and keep the Helix spinning well for years to come. I drilled a hole in a tree stump I cut down a few years ago and drove a copper pipe into it. While I couldn't get it deep to the black spot, it's tight and very reliable. Not that I needed them, but I also used the supplied…

Two locations are potential connections

First I bought three different Stanwood sculptures at once - this one was the hardest to assemble. You need two people and a little patience, but it's still pretty quick to put together. Like other reviewers, this one seemed to become rigid after assembly and could not rotate easily. It was disappointing enough that I considered trading it in for a different model. After repeating this a few times, I found that I had over-tightened the 2nd and 3rd bars which, while it didn't look possible, was…
