So far so good with Xbox One X

While I know the Xbox One doesn't support UASP (hopefully yet), this case is a definite improvement over the previous Thermaltake Max 5G case I've used . Installing the drive and closing it was easy enough. The case is fairly simple in design but durable and doesn't look like an eyesore in my entertainment center. The front blue LED is pretty bright, it's impossible to turn it off, but it's no big deal. Highly recommended!

Excellent build quality, fast UI - not too hot or noisy.

I first had a WD Blue 1TB 7200rpm drive in this guy, it worked great even though it sat quite noisy on my wooden table. I recently replaced this drive with a WD Blue 4TB 5400rpm drive for my photo editor. MUCH QUIETER. I didn't notice the drive overheating when writing hundreds of GB of files. It's good. USB 3.1 is fast - UASP makes a significant difference in speed as other reviewers have pointed out. Also, this case looks awful!

Excellent product built to the latest USB 3.1 Gen 2 standards

Of the various 3.5 inch cases I've tested, this one is my favourite. It achieves very high speeds on a USB3.1 Gen-1 (USB3.0) or Gen-2 port. The case is aluminum (great for heat dissipation) and comes with a quality cable (very long enough). It is easy to assemble and very durable. And it has a power switch, unlike some of the commercially available devices. Plug in a Western Digital NAS or Black drive and you're good to go! And he still looks good. I use a WD NAS 6TB (5400rpm) drive in one and…

Form and Function - Data Storage

I used this enclosure for my Seagate BarraCuda Pro 7200rpm 3.5" Internal Hard Drive, 6GB/s SATA, 256MB Cache (ST10000DM0004) and it worked like clockwork. The case has an attractive aluminum body. The base/leg is sturdy. Installation is very easy. Place the hard drive over the tiny holes and use a tiny Phillips screwdriver to insert the screws provided. With the included cables you are in few Ready to use in minutes The slim metal case looks great and installing the hard drive is very easy 5…

USB 3.1 and SMART monitoring on my Mac (with 3rd party drivers installed)

This is an early review (I've only had it a week) but I'm happy with it so far Pros: - SMART- Utility with SAT driver SMART gives me Smartmontools SMART monitoring support on my iMac. - Only tested on USB 3.0 so far, but the speed limiter was not the case with the drive. - The drive is very easy to mount and fits well under my monitor on the side. Smart future-proofing as more computers support USB 3.1. The only noise is from the drive itself (airflow), which means you have to keep it away from

Small profile, high speeds

Installing a 3.5" drive couldn't be easier and I got it working right away. I get 250MB/s write speed on a 10TB Seagate hard drive. Make sure your computer has the correct USB 3.1 Gen 2 input. This case originally plugged into a docking station that was USB 3.0 only and I was getting speeds of 40MB/s. Direct connection to the computer solved this problem. It has a useful (but too bright!) blue display. The case doesn't dampen the drive noise very much, so you can hear it rattling. The body is…
