🚪 Convenient 2 Pack Magnetic Door Stopper with Stainless Steel Catch - No Drilling Required! Review

I bought this door to solve a long standing problem with wind blowing my garage door and closing it. I didn't want to drill the doors so I bought these with adhesive patches. It works fine, but it's designed so the doorstop hits the stop square, which one of my doors doesn't have. Overall very satisfied.

Yesterday we installed these on 6 doors in our house and one is already broken! Low quality! I would return them but we already have them all installed and don't want to bother with removing, repackaging and shipping. We saw a similar model in my daughter's new home and are very happy with the installation. Don't buy this. I would give them zero stars if that was an option.

At this time of the year we prefer to leave the front and back doors open to ventilate the room. The problem was that from time to time a gust of wind would blow and the doors would slam shut causing nervous breakdowns. We have tile on the floor so I didn't want to drill holes in the floor. They're perfect, and the adhesive discs stick so well it feels like I'm pulling on the tile to pry the stopper off the floor. The door no longer slams no matter how strong the wind blows.

I've used glue and so far so good. The magnet is very strong and I'm really worried that my kids might damage the bathroom door if they try to push the door away from the wall with the knob. The door bends and turns. We certainly don't have a problem with a weak magnet! A small sticker placed between the magnet and the piece of metal on the door reduced the magnetic attraction just enough for it to work well enough. If you want to install this on drywall you will need different mounting hardware. The single stud design doesn't work. You can't just drill a hole and tighten, it just rotates. If you hold the threads with pliers and tighten, the deforming metal will not close the hole enough to be tightened. If you try to use three plastic drywall anchors, they won't adhere enough to the drywall and will just slide out when the door is pulled off the magnet. Otherwise it's good but it was extremely frustrating

Very easy to install. We have a new wood paneled steel fire door that we cannot drill through. We first attached the flat part to the steel door and then attached the ball part to it with a magnet. I pulled off the adhesive protective film on the ball part, opened the door, combined it with another door and glued it.
