Too easy to destroy for Quakers

The first hutch I bought for our Quaker parrot was made out of fabric that he chewed through. I thought it would be better for his beak. But he broke it within a day. We kept moving the rings to new locations until finally (less than 2 weeks later) there was nothing left to fix. Material. This will give him several months of pleasure, even if he swallows it too!

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Communication with seller

LOVE IT 💗 for birds

I only give 4 stars because I only received it today. I'll update after we've had it for a while. Finn has a green fleece sleeping hammock that he hates. HATE! It hisses and bites him. It only took 10 seconds to climb into this one from my shoulder. The first night hanging on, chewing on bits of plastic, preening and, as I write this, happily rubbing his beak and snuggling up on the bed. From this, too, complete victory lasts only a short time.

Parrot admitted in toys

2 young parrots, not normally very destructive, climbed upstairs, not inside, and chewed seaweed until they fell to the bottom. Update: I hung this up and my birds started sleeping in it after about a week. Update 4 weeks later: They love being in it day and night. I also have a Superbird seagrass harness which they love too. My avian vet said parrots prefer platforms over cichlids, my parrots agree. I trust Superbird products.

Charming and great quality

Update - I got two budgies who completely ignored the hut for the first week. The hut has become the center of her world in recent days. They spend all their time grinding it. I don't think the hut is long for the world, but I'll have to get another one, maybe after giving them a chance to explore some of my other toys. I ordered this in preparation for a new bird. I once had a bird that became seriously ill after eating wool and another got stuck on a rope, so finding a safe birdhouse was…

Great for Konura. He's a little destructive.

This is the perfect little cabin for my favorite boy Helios. However, like all men, he loves to look at how things are made and see if he can recognize them. The sides and bottom are attached with plastic rings. Oddly enough, he left that part alone but went for the loop above. Made from jute-like material, he began to shred it. Luckily I've been an expert in macrame (knotting) all my life, so pack lots of burlap. My husband simply took my jute and added just enough material to add extra…

Safe, natural material with endless play possibilities

Our green-cheeked parakeet loves it—sleeping inside, playing with donut rings hanging from the sides, munching seaweed—this is probably the seventh place we buy a tent as he ends up tearing them to shreds so much that we can't put the tents back together (but then we make little rugs out of the pieces for him to climb on, with endless play possibilities!). We can still watch him while he sleeps and plays as he is open on the sides. I chose it as it is a natural material and it is perfectly safe

Not used for its intended purpose but loves these seaweed mats

My green-cheeked kennel doesn't play with toys like most parrots and often avoids things for a long time before interacting with them. Even after he gets used to it, there isn't much to do and little interaction with this tent during the day, but at night it's his favorite sleeping spot. And by sleeping I don't mean in him, I mean sitting on him because he's an oddball. Лучшие "игрушки", которые я могу достать для него, это те, которые поощряют его акробатов, так как это, кажется, лучшая…

Great for Conure! in Birds

Our black-haired rider loves his tent! We originally had a shawl for him that was a bit smaller and he wasn't wearing it and was scared of it. Since it has a straw platform like this tent, I decided to give it a try and it was an instant hit! It also has a lot more freedom of movement, which I think helps. He may spend more time on it than in it, but he definitely sleeps inside! I saw someone mention their bird got stuck in big rings so I used some plastic links I had from the big pack to…

I will never see my green cheek contour again

I got my green cheek contour last week. For the last two days she didn't want to be anywhere but on top of me, or rather, in my arms. I work from home and her cage is in my office so I figured it would be close enough, especially at first when I thought she needed time to warm up with me. She has toys and perches in her cage, but most of the time she would cling to the bars in the corner closest to my desk and flap her wings until I pulled her out. The only thing she seemed to like about her…
