Lots of uses in crafting

I've used this glue to fill a hole in my "granite" paneled kitchen counter, glue leather straps together after separating inner and outer layers, attach wood to fabric (for my wife, long story), attach a plastic compass to the hollowed out end of a wooden stick, fill the crack in the bottom of a 5 gallon plastic (waterproof) bucket. It dries to an elastic consistency and forms a strong bond.

Pros
  • Finally bought it
Cons
  • boring packaging

Unsatisfied. in adhesives

Really difficult to get data on hot melt adhesives I needed a high temperature pen that could withstand direct sunlight. It actually softens and smudges after a few days. In this case it doesn't work either. Otherwise it will probably come in handy - I bought several different types to check stock. Ultimately, I realize that plastic hangers ($10/$1) are more in line with what I want - with an adjustable iron/air gun or whatever (see "welding plastic").

Very strong adhesion to a wide range of materials

Repaired maple top support cabinet and 1/2 sheet MDF front and back pads (only brackets received), very strong in 40 seconds. I've also tried hard plastic on MDF and plastic on plastic: both are so strong that they can't be torn apart. The wording seems much better than the standard Gorilla Glue Stick sold here (which I also bought for more general use). Says it can be polished. In the near future I will try to make a skirting board for the stairwell from pieces of MDF joined before nailing…

Slightly gummy, milky

Remains slightly gummy in the solid state and has a milky, translucent color. Seems to stick well. I wish they were 6 or 8 inches - 10 is too long. If you are undecided between these and the B000BQUTMW Surebonder BS-12 Sticks: The BS-12 Sticks are harder, stick a little better and are a little bigger. transparent. H-810R is more rubbery/flexible, doesn't stick as well and is a bit milkier. high temperature gun.

Slightly unusual but excellent glue.

When you need a high strength glue gun bond, especially on difficult substrates (HDPE, PP, metal, glass) this is the pencil you need. You definitely need a high-temp gun, and there's a learning curve here: glue stays soft and tacky much longer than regular sticks, and even when it cools and hardens fully, it's still more flexible than you're used to. But once it's on, it's on. I've replaced traditional two-temperature glue many times when working on DIY projects, and this product is a game…

All in all a great glue stick. I've used it to glue metal to plastic and it seems to be holding up well. These are 10 inch sticks - they may seem very long but as I explain below - the material is very flexible, you can easily cut these sticks with regular scissors. I've only used regular hot glue sticks in the past, so here are some amazing insights about acrylic sticks: * The glue remains very flexible even after it has cured - this is in stark contrast to traditional hot glue sticks, which…

Great 10 " glue sticks!

I am very happy with my purchase of Surebonder H-810R glue sticks, I bought 5 packs! I have used them before in the shorter 4" format and they fit perfectly for my electronics work. While gluing the wires and sealing with buttons and casings for sealing. The glue sticks very well to all the plastics I've tried. I've even used it as a PCB rack and to cover exposed pins. Although they take a little longer to cool down than traditional ones, that's a small price to pay. pay for a much better glue.

YES YES YES LOOK LONGER!

10,000% SATISFACTION! The ONLY glue stick I will be using and I use it on EVERY project from miniatures to furniture repair. I've used it on metal, wood, plastic, rubber, jewelry, glass, indoor and outdoor, shoe repair, clothing, etc! If you use it to decorate or repair clothes or fabrics, you cannot tumble dry them. Because it's designed to melt when heated, it won't hold up; but doesn't become a sticky mess. I accidentally tossed embellished shirts in the dryer and all that happened was the…

Poor delivery, consistency, holding power. Not worth buying.

Those glue sticks are pretty awful. Out of the box they have a rubbery, almost latex-like consistency. They are so pliable that they don't work well in my Adtech Pro200 glue gun, which usually works very well. When dry, they inflate so much they almost look like bubble wrap. And when they dry, they have a liquid consistency and color that can peel off the surface very easily. I love building styrofoam airplanes from scratch. Hot glue works great for this. But not these glue sticks. I bought…
