Works very well - Car electronics

Works well. The only thing I don't like is that the steering wheel controls have changed from going to the next preset station to finding the next station.

Pros
  • High quality finish
Cons
  • Doubtful

Works as intended / easy setup

I use this in my 2013 Mazda 3 with the Boss Applecar Gaming System and it works great. I can easily program steering wheel controls.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Not exactly as advertised

Two required wires were wrong in connector. The "backlight" cable was in the wrong place. There were no "power antenna" wires in the connector at all.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Repair

Works great on a Mazda 3 05

Used this wiring harness on a Mazda 3 05 to install a Sony Apple Play 2 din stereo system with backup camera. Installation was easy if you followed the instructions. Harness retained the factory steering wheel controls with no programming, just had to make sure you were following the toggle switches.

Pros
  • Fit Type: Universal
Cons
  • Legacy Model

Doesn't work at all.

Plugged it into my 2010 Mazda 5 from my dual din Kenwood and none of my steering wheel controls work. Cut and redone 3 times. Read the instructions 5 times. In the end I called the service, explained my situation and they told me that I did everything right and my module was defective. Too much hassle to mess around with returns and wait to use the radio so I'll just live with it I guess. Very disappointed.

Pros
  • Retains some factory specs when working with aftermarket radio
Cons
  • weak

READ THE INFO - IT WORKS!

I purchased this product for a 2012 Mazda 5 Van. This is a complete product that also has steering wheel controls without the need to purchase an additional control module. The instructions are pretty simple. The cables are color coded to match your aftermarket stereo. At first everything worked except for the buttons on the steering wheel. CHECK THE PROGRAMMING INSTRUCTIONS FOR YOUR STEREO STATION PROGRAMMING INSTRUCTIONS. My secondary stereo did NOT explicitly state how to program the…

Pros
  • Pre-programmed to accept steering wheel controls
Cons
  • Requires socket
