My electrician installed this in front of my barn and hooked it up to a light switch. Lights up at dusk and goes out at dawn. Turned up during a late afternoon storm and I was surprised. Connected to a light switch so I can turn it off when I don't want the barnyard lit. Very bright and effective. I love it and I have one set up on my patio.

This is a good flashlight for the price. It illuminates a large area and is inexpensive to operate. The manufacturer recommends installing it 5 meters from the wall to reduce the chance of the photocell picking up its own light (which can cause flicker). Installation is easy, I set it up in the dark with a flashlight. It's light, so it's not difficult to hold it by screwing in the screws. The connection is self-explanatory. I installed this light in my barn, it is much brighter than city street lights. Outstanding light. However, the included mounting hardware is not up to date. After two screws failed, I replaced them with class 2 screws. I have never unscrewed a screw head without a great deal of effort. But low and so I did. Maybe £50 for an 8 inch spanner. Just received and installed this afternoon. The first 2 hours of the "night shift" were great. Everything works as intended. This compact (approx. 10 inch long), lightweight (2.04 lb), 50W daylight light is an economical replacement for the aging high pressure sodium lamp. Installation was uneventful (happy face) - 2lbs easy to carry/set up on a 15ft ladder.
