Simplifies spark plug installation

Simple installation of the spark plug in modern ignition coils on vehicles with deep spark plug wells. Holds the fork well to prevent the fork from falling out. Better than the piece of tubing I used. Two lengths for a variety of installations.

Positive commitment, flexible, not flexible.

This is a great upgrade from the early days of using old fuel line parts or my 20 year old tool cart purchase. They hold the fork tight and provide a secure grip. Flexibility is fairly elastic but not flexible.

  • Great Price
Cons
  • Useless Features

Pair of starter spark plugs Thexton 492.

I've always made my own piece of hose that fits snugly around the spark plug, in fact I still have the hose I made in 1973 and it works perfectly but These well made ones are great and at a good price plus they are cute to look at. Buy them, they will always come in handy.

Handy tool for changing the spark plugs in my cars!

Changing the spark plugs on our Accords and Camrys is a rare occurrence, but it's a simple thing I want to do myself. When the Accord needed spark plugs, I found that my old Craftsman spark plug socket couldn't hold the new plugs. How do I put these plugs in the "gut" to screw them into the head? But I found these tools and the longer you do the job well! Highly recommended!

Pros
  • Great Construction
Cons
  • Expensive

Does exactly what it's supposed to do

This makes changing spark plugs on my bike really easy. I saw a review about them on You Tube and decided to order them. Eliminates the possibility of incorrectly driving dowels by hand or with a ratchet. You can also use cheap rubber hoses but I didn't have any and they are still better. Gently grasp the fork to start it, then gently tighten with a ratchet.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Thexton #492 Spark Plug Tool Kit

In my 40 years as a master mechanic I have used all sorts of means to fire hard to find spark plugs, one of my favorites was made by Mac Tools but it was only one length , which made working in tight quarters difficult, and often undersized on hemi head engines, this set solved both problems, and with today's inconsistent aluminum heads with such temperamental threads, this set is a blessing (because God forbid you have a aluminum cylinder head with hardened thread inserts built into the…

Works great, saved the day

5 stars for a great job - which was really needed because the spark plug socket that *should* have grabbed the plug didn't at all. The packaging is a bit bent, but it can be easily straightened. Easy to attach to the old fork but takes a lot of effort to pull out. When getting in, it's easy to plug in a new plug straight in, in fact most threads are done with that. Then slightly removed to complete tightening with a wrench. Basically the perfect amount of "grip" to get the job done and I'm glad
